They charge for everything! I was forced to stay here on a business trip. Never again . breakfast of cold fake eggs and burnt coffee 12.00. hardly any channels on tv. WiFi is terrible the router is right on my door and it's still slow.

Some of the other guest ratings had me nervous booking a night with this hotel but I was surprised and will say most of the negative comments did not apply to my stay. Pros: great price!!!!, the location is great - 15 minutes from Washington, DC, the staff was very friendly and helpful, parking was free and convenient, the room was spacious and has what you need for an overnight stay, optional use of functioning fitness center and pool. Cons: overall cleanliness was a 3.5/5, breakfast buffet quality and variety were 3.5/5, the bedding was a little odd - 2 sheets with a down comforter or itchy blanket.

One of the best deals in southern metro DC! Near national harbor without the exorbitant prices with no parking hassles! Great buffet breakfast for the price.

To start, the outside of the hotel looked dated but decent. The Lobby is cozy yet gives out a cold atmosphere. I was greeted my a very pleasant lady at the Font desk and she explained the "usual" details and gave me my key cards which contrary to other posts, works the first time. No bell service when i checked in so i grabbed one of the bellman's carts myself and loaded it with my luggage. Bellman arrived 10 mins later and "just watched". He said to leave it outside the room and will pick it up in 5 mins. (too bad. nice tip went to me.) Key slots NEED to be replaced since they're dated. I was checked in a "renovated room". I can tell by the new wallpaper and paint. The carpet is faded and had some stains on it but very understandable. Forty-two inch HDTV is available and a fridge and microwave. Nice picture frames hang from the walls. Bathroom is decently decorated with a nice touch of color from the shower curtain. Sheet are new and clean and the pillows are decent. the bed is a little hard but doable. Room smelled fresh. POOL IS OVERLOADED WITH BLEACH it will hurt your eyes when you get in the "fitness center" and too much public use of the pool is a big THUMBS DOWN!!! Please prioritize your hotel guests!!! Pool attendants are knowledgeable which is a big plus. Shower rooms are placed in the odd part of the building and should have a separate room from the gym users. Chambermaids are very polite and thorough with their work and I was pleased with the room when i came back. Safes are available but not in rooms which is a big disappointment. Overall, I was pleased, no crazy noises heard, no crazy parties, My family and I had a good stay at this hotel. Asking if I would stay again? Yes I would. I just hope management listens and answers back EVERY single bad review and try to rectify errors made my the hotel staff to not only improve service but also encourage more people to stay and come back. --233--

This hotel is the cleanest hotel I have been to in years ! I used to go to Holiday Inn, but this beats it ! I love this hotel and I am hoping to come back to a hotel like this again. I was able to smell someone smoking in one of the rooms out of the hallway and that was disgusting. The reason I am giving a four star is, I was hearing someone during the night and it was annoying. The walls are quite thin, I think. But I have not eaten here at the breakfast brunch, so I am not rating it at all. The price is only seven dollars per person, and they are open from six in the morning I was informed. I did not spend time in the lobby, but it is an old style looking place and the hotel is updated. The price is amazing, and I am very happy, that this hotel is so clean. It has all the basic stuff someone needs. Coffeemaker, Refrigerator, Microwave, TV, Blow-dryer etc. There are no stains in the bath tub, like some hotels do, that is really nice to have. The bed is comfortable and not too soft, which helps to sleep a little better with the bad back I have. ( But I rather sleep in my own bed of course). I recommend this hotel for single, couple, single business and small families.

I stayed on July 13. It started off wrong from the moment I was at the front desk. It was two ladies behind the desk one with a customer and the other lady was on the phone. I stood there for five minutes. Then when she got off the phone, she said I was on the phone with the district manager. Seem like he would understand if a customer come to the counter and she need to get off the phone. Then Diane gave me the wrong room and it was still being cleaned. I was soooo tired, it took an additional 30 minutes of standing in the hall. When I got in the room is when I was it was not want I wanted. So, I had to walk back downstairs to the desk. The house keeper was so nice. But I didn't to sit in the room while she cleaned. It put a nasty taste in my mouth about this Hotel, I thought it was more of a upscale Hotel. Hospitality was the worst.

My visit was in 2013. The hotel was in the middle of renovation. Staff was very courteous and cordial. Staff available all the time and requests were fulfilled in a timely manner. Affordable price rooms and close access to the Capital. I did not like the dim lighting in the corridor of the floor. Overall experience was okay.
