Sorry to see Gigom go! It has been one of my favorite tech sites.
Om Malik's creation runs out of money; Gigaom's policy reporting will be missed.

HBO, I like ya, but not enough to buy an Apple TV. Now an app with Chromecast support would be a hell-of-a-thing!

I find it funny that reporters have been talking about the original Pixel's poor battery life, as if it was not par or even great, compared to other laptops at its launch.

We have been spoiled over the past several years and have forgotten that beginning with the Haswell line, Intel essentially doubled battery life for most laptops. Since the original Pixel was launched in February 2013 and the Haswell was announced in June 2013, it seems an unfair standard to hold it to.

Today we are shipping v.3 on the Desktop and in the Web Demo. The plugins and myBalsamiq will be updated to v.3 as soon as possible (think weeks, not months). Balsamiq Mockups 3 is both simpler and more powerful at the same time. The core editing experience should feel very familiar, ...

Great article on the importance of how links are presented compared to surrounding content.
Whether you adopt a flat-design style or not, interactive components must retain sufficient cues to suggest clickability.

The food and the service were horrible. Additionally the owner and the landlord appear to be running a predatory parking scam out of the restaurant which results in a sleazy thuggish vibe. I will not be going back!
