As I have started to get more into backpacking/hiking/camping, I have seen quite a bit of discouraging behavior. People carving their names or initials into rocks, graffiti, and so called "art." Please don't do this outside of your home and/or on someone else's property. The outdoors are beautiful as they are, and no "art work" makes them better. This also goes for pets. Keep them leashed and clean up after them. The Leave No Trace principles should be one of the first things you learn and practice when going into any wilderness or park.

Any preppers in my circles? Do you have a bug out bag? If so, what's in it? What kind of bag did you choose? Where do you keep it?

My wife and I bought some hiking bags on sale from Emergency Essentials a while back. We're still working on filling them out, but I'm basically planning on pulling out my old scout handbook to follow the checklists in there. I'll just adjust the quantities as best as I can for our family, balancing weight, necessity, and utility.

A few things that we've got lined up right now (off the top of my head): basic survival knife sharpener (with a whistle and fire starter), hand warmers, Sterno burners, knives, flashlights, crank radio, and a portable water filter/tablets. Obviously there's other stuff.

The whole "well that's just one cop and he/she is a bad apple" argument is old. The repeated misconduct, lying, stealing, violating the constitution, evidence tampering and murder are part of the bigger issue, our police state. If the constant news reports of people being attacked and/or killed by police doesn't convince you, take a look at the FBI. They are on Capitol Hill asking to track your every move and asking for a back door into all encryption. That's akin to asking for a key to everyone's safe deposit box, safe and home. If you are in America, you are in a police state. The only rights you have are those the man or woman with a badge and a gun tell you you have.

Considering the fact that you are hundreds of times more likely to be killed by a cop than a terrorist, I say the clear and present danger that we currently need protection from is the police themselves.

But all we ever hear is "rabble rabble terrorism! rabble rabble"

This is ridiculous.
The move may thwart any attempt to reform the NSA's mass-surveillance authorities.

And of course they'll probably pass it again against the will of the people once again. All I can say is I didn't "OK" it

Wait a minute...you mean the free market and competition benefit customers? Without government interference, rules and regulations? I'm shocked!
Charlotte customers get big speed boost for same price after Google announcement.

Warning: This is very graphic footage.

This is one of the reasons I chose to get into law. Here is a cop shooting an unarmed citizen who was running away. This video fills me with absolute rage. The cop, in some sort of a miracle, is being charged with murder. After his conviction, I'll let the prison inmates take care of the real justice. Enjoy your time in prison, officer.

This is just a state official stepping on an eagle to remove an Edward Snowden bust. I guess it's fitting.

Is illegal wiretapping like illegal art and can we remove it?

"We're building an army over here and I can't believe people aren't seeing it. Is everybody blind?" Coming from a person who has been at the helm in one of the most powerful military forces in history, I trust him when he is worried about police.

How I feel when people tell me their Mach 3 or electric razor is better than a straight razor or safety razor.

What a nice, clean shave too. Maybe I should start using a scythe on your beard?
