I loved being part of this presentation with Dan Russell. Giving our students authentic opportunities to practice and refine their searching techniques is so essential.

In case you missed our first hangout last week, we've got a recording of +Dan Russell's introduction to using search as a research tool. Here are a few key tips he shared:

- Search for the answer to your question not the question itself
- Make use of the related searches links at the bottom of the results page
- Take advantage of the site: operator for finding academic content or for doing research (e.g. [site:.edu] or [technology policy site:gatech.edu])
- Use the reading level tool in the left panel to find the content that best suits your topic or audience

Hang tight for the next opportunity to hang out on the Google page!
