Patagonia, in south America has some of the most spectacular and beautiful mountain peaks on the planet. Everywhere you look, there is another angle where beautiful light is highlighting another peak.

"The World Up Close"

One of my favorite things to do as a nature photographer is pick up my macro lens and go hunting for interesting details. Flowers are always a nice choice as the detail and intricate deigns found in nature are always impressive.

This photo was taken with the new +Sony#a7rII with the newly released 90mm f/2.8 FE macro lens for Sony's a7 camera lineup. Needless to say, this combination is awesome!

If you are interested in a7R II, be sure to check out my in-depth review where I not only cover all the new features, but talk about how much Sony's mirrorless system has evolved over the years.

"Eyes of the Tiger"
Wild Animal Sanctuary, Colorado

On a recent outing to the +The Wild Animal Sanctuary just outside Denver, Colorado I was able to test the brand new +Sony  #a7rII  full frame mirrorless camera. While it is not being marketed as a sports/wildlife camera, the results from it are certainly impressive!

Full In-Depth Review of the Sony A7R II 42mp Mirrorless Camera

I am pretty excited to share with you my extensive in-depth review of Sony's latest flag ship camera, the 42.4mp a7R II that has a brand new AF system, increased resolution and the ability to use Canon and other 3rd party lenses with ease. I take a look at all of these new features while so spending some time taking about some of the issues that have popped up since the camera was publicly released.

Enjoy & Share! #a7rII   #SonyAlpha

This is for sure an exciting camera, especially for traveling photographers. However, most Nikon and Canon pros are unlikely to switch due to the investment they have made in lenses.

Adapters are still evolving (Meatabones seems to be cutting edge right now), but switching to a new system? I would like to see some comments from pros who did jump ship.

"Wanaka Lake"
Louisville, Colorado

As a travel photographer I often forget just how beautiful my home state of Colorado truly is. With just a few minute drive from my house there are all sorts of wonderful scenes to capture.

This image was taken with the brand new +Sony  #a7rII  . A 42.4mp full frame mirrorless camera that has many photographers in the industry excited.

If you are interested in a7R II, be sure to check out my in-depth review where I not only cover all the new features, but talk about how much Sony's mirrorless system has evolved and even touch  on some of the challenges Sony faced when creating this amazing tool.

"Hawaiian Reflections"
Kona, The Big Island of Hawaii

One of the main reasons I love Hawaii (besides the good food) is the fact that their sunrises and sunsets are often so spectacular. This image was taken just North of the town of Kona on The Big Island of Hawaii while out shooting with my friend and local photographer +Kai Kosonen .

This photo was taken with a +Sony  a7r, but right now I am hard at work on my full review of the a7rII, Sony's newest 42mp mirrorless camera. If you are new to Sony or are thinking of picking up this camera, be sure to check out my "15 Tips for Getting the Most Out of Your Sony a7rII" blog post. #SonyAlpha

Here is another image from Wanaka Lake, a beautiful spot just a few minutes from my house here in Colorado. As a travel photographer who spends most of my time on the road, it is nice to find such hidden gems so close to home.

"A Rocky Path"
Wanaka Lake, Colorado

I always love finding wonderful locations to photograph that are near my own home. As a travel photographer that spends most of his time on the road, mainly in international locations, it is nice to only have to drive 15 minutes for a shot ;)

"Last Light"
Mt. Evens, Colorado

Last week I took a quick trip up to the top of Mt. Evens, a 14,000ft peak located just an hour and a half from Denver. This area of the Rockies is known for its population of Mountain Goat and Big Horn Sheep. I was fortunate enough to come across a number of these incredible animals and had a lot of fun photographing them with the new +Sony  #a7rII  .

If you are interested in a7R II, be sure to check out my in-depth review where I not only cover all the new features, but talk about how much Sony's mirrorless system has evolved over the years.

"The View of Castle Mountain"
Canadian Rockies - Alberta, Canada

One of my favorite places in the world for landscape photography is the Canadian Rockies. No matter what season you visit in, this region of Canada has something special to offer. This image is of Castle Mountain, a beautiful mountain ridge located just 30 minutes north of Lake Louise and Banff National Park.

This photo was taken with a +Sony a7r, but right now I am hard at work on my full review of the a7rII, Sony's newest 42mp mirrorless camera.
