Getting ready to start here in NY at the global launch of the LG G4 Android phone. Here you can see a sneek peek at 8 of the 15 images I had printed on metal and hung (both here and in Korea) for the launch. The largest prints I made where 30" on the longest side and the photos still looked gorgeous.

Pretty impressive for a mobile phone! ;)

"The Power of Gullfoss"
Gullfoss Waterfall, Iceland

There are only a handful of places around the globe that allow you to get close enough to a massive waterfall to truly feel is power. Luckily...Iceland has 4 such waterfalls ;)

This image was taken with a +Sony  a6000 mirrorless camera, which I reviewed last week. This powerful, portable and affordable ($600) camera is pretty impressive and offers a great experience for those new to the mirrorless camera world. Check out the full review below...

+Ameel Beesony There's quite a lot of post processing there. Especially in the running water shots. He would definitely have needed a ND filter to block the light out if nothing else. He also showed the photo's in Adobe Lightroom so there's no reason to believe they weren't "Touched up" before showing. That still doesn't stop it being a good camera, however a Photographer would definitely add the clause "For a phone" to that sentence.

"Showing a Sense of Scale"
Vik, Iceland

When photographing landscapes it can sometimes be challenging to show the true size and scope of a location. To get around this you can try to include a human element I to your shot. In this image from the beach at Vik, Iceland you can see +Lauren Bath setting up for a shot. By brining her into the frame, you get a sense of scale of just how big the mountain walls are at this location.

This image was taken with a +Sony a6000 mirrorless camera, which I reviewed last week. This powerful, portable and affordable ($600) camera is pretty impressive and offers a great experience for those new to the mirrorless camera world. Check out the full review below...

"Iceberg Sunset Glow"
Jokulsarlon, Iceland

When it comes to natures ebb and flow of glacier recession and growth each year, I am always amazed and impressed at the intricate patterns, designs and textures that can be found in ice. Every time I visit Iceland I never know what to expect. It is one of the reasons I keep going back. While the locations I often visit are familiar, my experience is different each and every time...always having new things to photograph.

"The Road to Zion"
Zion National Park, UT

I am happy to share with you the one of first high resolution images I took with the LG G4 Android smart phone that is being publicly unveiled tomorrow. I captured this photo late one night in the heart of Zion National Park, taking advantage of the cameras long exposure features. This 8 second exposure shows the light trails of two passing cars moving through these desert mountains.

For more information, stay tuned to the official product launch by +LG Mobile Global and +LG USA Mobile , where I will be in New York for the unveiling.

I will also have a blog post go live tomorrow at 12pm EST with plenty of high resolution images from the #lgG4. Stay tuned!

"Fading Fall"
Kananaskis, Alberta (Canadian Rockies)

One of my favorite things to photograph is the changing of seasons. Be it the change from winter into spring or fall into winter, the contrast found between the seasons as they migrate together is always fascinating.

"Ebb & Flow of Nature"
Kirkjufellsfoss Waterfall, West Iceland

When it comes to landscape photography, I am always looking for interesting compositions. This can involve leading lines, foreground elements, symmetry (or the lack there of) and so much more. With this image of the Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall in West Iceland, I decided to take a different approach that the standard shot, which is from a much low angle about 100 ft to the right of where I was standing. By getting on top of the waterfall and shooting slightly downward, I was able to include a variety of compositional techniques into a single image. See if you can point them out.

"Icelandic Reflections"
Southern Iceland

One of the most interesting things to photograph in Iceland happen to be the ever moving and changing glaciers, which are highly accessible in the south of Iceland. With a number of glacial lagoons dotting the landscape, many visitors are created with this intimate & unique experience of watching icebergs form and be destroyed by the water.

This image was taken with my +Sony a6000 .mirrorless camera, which I reviewed a few days ago. This powerful, portable and affordable ($600) camera is pretty impressive and offers a great experience for those new to the mirrorless camera world. Check out the full review below...
