Btw, your original link doesn't take you to the official Star Wars channel, but to the "MOVIECLIPS Trailers" channel posting on YouTube.
Since the title of the movie was released there has been a number of fake trailers going around the web. And, actually, some of them look better than this one. If you take a look at the comments on the YT posting you linked, you'll see that I'm not the only one that didn't want to believe this was for real.
But, now that I've reflected on it, I see what Abrams is trying to accomplish. He's trying to capture the feel of Episode IV by attempting to replicate the look of it's cinematography and production values.
Personally, I think that's going to backfire on him if he leaves it the way it is. But I think reactions to this trailer and pre-release screenings will cause some adjustments (like some color filters) to be made before the final release. Still, in the end, it'll be the story he tells that makes or breaks it.
