Heading out of Winter and then into Spring is one of my favourite times at the coast, As long as it is dry you can wrap up warm and if you are like me and have a dog then most beaches allow dogs. The greatest thing about walking is that it is absolutely free.

Harbour Cove beach is a sandy beach about 1 mile north of Padstow in Cornwall.

Milton Keynes is not known for its coast access but if you can tolerate just over 2 hours in the car then you have some coastal options.
