The only good thing about this place was the friendly waitress. Over priced for what you receive. Obviously the positive posters don't have an adequate breadth of experience to trust their judgement. Cocktails were simply undrinkable. Cupcake, more like crumblecake. Disappointed to the highest degree. So loud. The only thing louder is the drunk company. Imagine sitting in the back of Abercrombie and Fitch while trying to enjoy cocktails and dessert made by a child.

Waltzed in here for dessert after a disappointing dinner..and thank goodness! Co Co. Sala couldn't have been more of a change from the ambience we'd just come from..you'll have to read my other review to know what I'm talking about. This place is all about the mood lighting--in fact, I'd stay they kept it too dark i.e. we couldn't get any good pictures of the pretty food! :( Nevertheless, all the waitresses wear bright red dresses, which is a nice touch with the sultry, moody feel of the lounge. Ours was totally cool about us not ordering drinks (which I always appreciate), and gave us great, not-overly-verbose recommendations/explanations about the menu. We got their famous Chocolate Onyx (later wishing we'd [also] gotten the sticky toffee pudding because T decided belatedly she was in the mood for caramel)...and the "Co. Co Flight"--a trio of hot chocolates (you get the option of adding alcohol for only an extra dollar, i think?). The chocolate onyx is a trio of desserts itself: one salted caramel/almond truffle--one scoop of super rich dark chocolate mousse or gelato (consistency was something in between...)--one crazily constructed cake. Let me break this cake down for you: bottom layer is a homemade brownie, topped with a layer of creme brulee, topped with a layer of chocolate crispy balls, topped with salted caramel--all wrapped in a layer of chocolate mousse and coated in some kind of chocolate covering. For the chocolate lovers, don't miss this. :) I actually really enjoyed the Co. Co Flight. You get to choose 3 of their 6-7 hot chocolate selection. We got the dark chocolate, chipotle chocolate, and salted caramel. I love spiced mochas, so chipotle was probably my favorite, but the salted caramel one was unique too. Dark chocolate was rich, as expected. They come in shot glasses, not too much, not too little. Despite the two women next to us were blabbing (too) loudly about their sexcapades, we had a good time :)

Excellent Hot CoCo! Little more formal than a drop in drop out traditional coffee shop location, however the bar does accommodate.

Went there in Saturday night I was surprised by the fixed menu that was 45 $ per person which is expensive for what u get as there orders are so small portions and the fixed menu is limited variety and the was bad We had a waiter how is French I guess he was so rude and offenderd by our orders is if he wasn't to work But the music and the atmosphere was ok and the desert is the only thing that maked me happy Definitely I will never visit that place again expensive and the food in bad so if u are planing to go just prepare ur self for desert

Wow! What an expeience. The staff was great, the drinks were delicious, and the food was outstanding. By far one of the best eats on our trip to Washington. The only concern is the price, however, everything else was so fantastic it deserves 5 stars. A must for anyone in DC.

An overpriced meh.. Plain sliders and room temperature grits. Good romantic setting earns it a few stars.

This is my favorite place in DC! I went for brunch on Sunday and it was incredible. Everything is chocolate, and it's the highest quality. My only complaints are that it was kind of pricey and the service was slow despite it not being crowded, but the food made up for it because it was that good! I highly recommend the french toast and the frozen white hot chocolate.
