Argyranthemum frutescens - Asteraceae
"Magarza de costa"
Endemismo canario, es una especie muy variable y con varias subespecies. En herboristería se usa como tónico estomacal y para combatir el asma. Las hojas se usan en infusión.
Argyranthemum: nombre genérico que procede del griego argyros, que significa "plateado" y anthemom, que significa "planta de flor", aludiendo a sus flores radiantes pálidas.
frutescens: procede del latín frutescere, que significa "echar o producir vástagos o renuevos". En esta especie hace referencia a su ramificación exuberante.
