Freelance photographer, social entrepreneur and director.
My photography follows the themes of culture, social observation, music, disability and photojournalism, with coverage in the United Kingdom, Ethiopia, and Canada. I shoot for the news wire Demotix
and have been published in The Time, Guardian, The Observer, Channel 4 and the BBC.
I am also founder and director of Meridian Raw
, which is a not-for-profit social enterprise that uses photography as an empowerment tool for marginalised communities and socially excluded individuals. We help to bring about social change and advocacy through creative participatory photography workshops and participatory photography training.
I am also social media lead for TEDxExeter
, which is a local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxExeter, where x = independently organised TED event.
