Why combining Surgery with Technology??

We would like to introduce you to Dr. Jerome Cau’s vision regarding modern surgery and  we are very happy to have him joining our team in Bucharest from the beginning of December 2015.

http://www.clinica-vasculara.ro/index.php/portfolio-items/dr-jerome-cau-2/?portfolioID=14449

When dr. Cau started on this road he had few questions in mind and he was looking for answers:

1. Is the laparoscopic surgery training standardized?
2. Is the modern surgery involving the modern technology at its best?
3. Why the new technology progress is so much faster than the surgery progress?
4. Do surgeons need “off the OT” training in laparoscopic surgery?
5. Is there a need for a virtual training lab for laparoscopic surgery?
6. Does virtual training contribute to the shortening of the learning curve? Does it bring more efficiency to the learning process?
7. At the end of the learning curve is the surgeon properly evaluated, is this evaluation standardized, is the process consistent all over the world?

In search for answers Dr. Cau ended up with a full program for achieving his goal. What we will offer you is a glimpse of his past work, which was already implemented at CHU Poitiers and Benghazi Medical Center.

Enjoy!
