While waiting for this book to arrive, I'm reading Nick Hornby's Fever Pitch, about being a fan of the Arsenal football club. I can see myself in his book.

“Sooo we could see a Cuban "work agreement" in place before the Oakland A's see a new stadium? Who saw that coming?”

As crazy as the offseason as been so far, I like the A's for this. I like how fearless Beane is. Also, Lester goes to the Cubs. The Cubs could be interesting this year: http://www.baseballmusings.com/?p=104101

Not panicking. But I thought our problem would be scoring runs, not pitching. So far, the A's are tied for 2nd in runs scored and 21st in ERA.

I'm happy with the season so far. I appreciate the work Billy Beane put into crafting this team. I dislike the Royals as much this season as last. But it's a nail in my heart to see Russell called up.

The Chronicle learned on Monday evening that Zito will sign a minor-league team with the A’s and will be in spring camp with the club. Zito, 36, was a three-time All-Star with Oakland before signing a seven-year, $126 million deal with the Giants after the 2006 season. The Giants declined Zito’s $14 m...

I can see, with Parker and Griffin not coming back till midyear, a way he makes the team. Or maybe he looks good in spring training and another team picks him up.

Good reading before the fanfest :)
One of the greatest franchises in MLB history, the Athletics have lots of great moments but also some pretty bad ones. Let's take a look.

Will we have an entirely new infield next season? Davis at first, Wendle at second or shortstop, Lawrie at third?

Introduction
I walk briskly; I started wearing eyeglasses in college; I thought for a time I wanted to be a disc jockey; I'm left-handed; I've had more than 200 stitches; I've seen a handful of +Oakland Athletics playoff games; I think I saw The Pixies at the D.C.
