A report by National Geographic suggests that cigarette butts make up as much as 13% of all litter produced in the state of Texas. Americans smoke, on average, about 1,000 cigarettes per person per year and over five trillion cigarettes are smoked annually worldwide, and the number is expected to more than double in the next 20 years.
New York State alone produces 1.5 million tons of cigarette butts annually. That’s a lot of backpacks.

Apparently gun rights and common sense gun safety don't go together for some idiots.

"...the child was not in an appropriate seat while riding in the car,"
Anyone surprised by this?

..."Deputies say a .45-caliber handgun was on the truck's floor. The gun had been purchased legally, the sheriff's department said in second news release Wednesday. It is, however, a misdemeanor in Florida for a person to leave a loaded firearm where a child might access it."

They need to make it a felony and loss of gun rights.

All she managed to do was render Allah an impotent coward; for any GOD that needs mortal man to do their fighting for them is neither omnipotent, omnipresent or omniscient and not worthy of being worshiped. Quite the contrary they deserve disdain and ridicule as do their followers.
A woman suspected of beheading a child in her care before brandishing the severed head outside a Moscow metro station said on Wednesday Allah had ordered her to commit the crime.

America gets what it deserves.
Despite painting themselves as moderates compared to Trump, every Republican in the race is economically radical

The 1% can move anywhere they want—and profit handsomely from the relocation, but the 99% can’t. Worse, the 99% are left with the aftermath—the empty buildings of a deserted Detroit, the toxic waste from chemical plants in West Virginia or the unsustainable tax liabilities of Puerto Rico.”

It's a sad state of affairs when banding behind Cruz is your only hope. If the Republican party was smart they would put all their efforts into getting Rubio the nomination then they might stand a chance at beating the Dems.
Marco Rubio needs to exit the Republican race immediately, Erick Erickson-the conservative pundit who spurred the #NeverTrump movement-wrote Tuesday.

This is what the tea party has ultimately become. Inbred narrow minded bigots hiding behind the veil of religious freedom.
Senate candidate Ben Sasse says that religious belief is a license to violate any law. Even murder laws.
