We get asked a lot whether we know of anyone who can do various jobs around the home, so when we come across a really fantastic local service we think it's worth shouting about (you might have seen our previous recommendation on here for The Cat Lady - Norwich Pet Sitting Service ā¤ļø)!

Recently, we've used Odd Bods Exterior Cleaning Specialists. They offer a whole range of exterior cleaning services like pressure washing, roof cleaning, gutter clearing, cleaning render. All the stuff that is usually too tricky to do ourselves.

Head to their Facebook page to see some of the satisfying before and after photos of their recent work. šŸ˜ƒ

Really important findings in this research. We've been sharing this with staff and re-iterating tips for reducing exposure.

At Clear Interiors we've been really careful about sourcing the chemicals we use, to make sure they're as safe for staff as they can be and we don't use bleach. Here are our tips for reducing your exposure at home:

1. Do as much of your cleaning as possible with water and a microfibre cloth. Day to day chemicals are often totally unnecessary in the first place. Dusting and cleaning windows in particular need no chemicals.
2. Spray chemicals directly onto cloths, not onto surfaces. This stops the particles being sprayed around into the air you're breathing.
3. Make sure you ventilate any room you're working in. In bathrooms, open the window, put on the extractor fan and leave the door open.
4. Choose cleaning products that are less harsh. For example, stop using bleach at home and go for eco friendly options like Ecover or Method. Natural ingredients like vinegar or bicarbonate of soda are even better if you have the time or inclination.
5. Reduce the number of products you use at home. A multi-purpose spray and a limescale remover are the only things most households need.

We'd like to extend a warm welcome back to our fab team member, Kat, who has been away on maternity leave!

This takes the total team size at Clear Interiors up to 17! We're quite the gang now. šŸ˜†

We received some tragic news this week. A previous Clear Interiors staff member, Kimberley, who was with us until very late last year has passed away after a road traffic accident.

The whole team would like to extend their deepest sympathies to her family. Kimberley was a wonderful part of our team during her time with us and her untimely passing is a terrible loss for everyone who knew her.

We've been meaning to do this for weeks and finally got round to it. It's just been so busy!

In the middle of November, we had a fantastic new team member joining the Clear Interiors team.

We extend a warm welcome to Libby, who got up to speed so quickly when she joined us. She is now a fully trained, integrated part of the team and doing really well in her role with us. šŸ˜ƒ

Back in September, we applied for a grant from the New Anglia Small Grant Scheme to help us set ourselves up in our very own office premises for the first time.

It's been a huge benefit for the whole team and is having positive knock-on effects for all our customers, which are set to continue this year too.

We also know that many of our customers have their own businesses, so thought we would post a little bit about our grant application process for any of you who might benefit from this sort of funding too!

It's been so grey out, so these pics are a bit dark, but, our new signage is up! Just waiting for the window stickers to be done and then our premises on Portersfield Road will be fully up and running!! What do you think?

We're getting through the busiest week of the year, making sure as many homes as possible are sparkling clean, ready for the festive onslaught!

We'll be closed over the Christmas week, so we wanted to take a moment to thank all of our customers, both regulars and one-offs, homes and businesses, our fabulous staff who are in dire need of a rest right now, and our amazing network of suppliers, trades people and creatives who have helped us out.

It has been a huge year for us, getting our new website launched, more than doubling in size and getting office premises for the first time in 14 years. Our customers have been so supportive while these changes have occurred, so we've worked extra-hard to keep improving our services to make sure they're getting the best!

In 2018 (blimey!), we're going to continue building on the great changes we've made this year, continuing to campaign and raise awareness of issues facing the cleaning industry to ensure customers continue to have a real choice, and... hopefully making some great announcements about new services we think you will love! šŸ¤žšŸ¼

šŸŽšŸŒ²šŸŽ‰ We truly wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful/raucous (delete as preferred) New Year! See you in 2018! šŸŒ²šŸŽšŸŽ‰
