Hi Gardeners, I know it's early, but I have been thinking about the coming garden season, and thought it was time to reach out to see if you will be gardening on Wall Street again this coming year. Unfortunately Katie Goodfellow will leaving Wall St in May. For the past two years her contribution to the gardens has been enormous and she will be missed as the garden manager. She took on so many responsibilities, many which aren't obvious to the casual observer, but I know the garden operated more smoothly with her knowledge, thoughtfulness, and initiative . She and Aaron and Roan will be missed.
Increasingly, I need more assistance to operate the garden and hope someone will come forward to act in the capacity of Garden Manager. There is no financial compensation for the position, other than not paying the $10 registration fee. . Just the satisfaction of contributing to the continuation of our community wide recognized successful neighborhood project. Having begun in 2000, this will be our 15th year. There will be beds available, and former gardeners have first choice. So please let me know if you will be with us again. Also let me know how many beds you want this year. If you know of anyone who might want to join us this year. Please have them contact me on line with their contact information. Looking forward to another bountiful year at the Wall St. Community Garden. This year we will be adding to the native plant portion of the garden and working with members of Wild Ones to increase the milkweed population and establishing a Monarch Butterfly Way Station, on the lower level.
looking forward to hearing from you.
