Set the backdrop screen to be your favorite live cam, like the Monterey Bay Aquarium Sea Otter Cam.

I have a favor to ask of all of you that have a Twitter account.
Our weatherman is kind of a Wash doppelgänger and frankly it would tickle me to no end to see him acknowledge it on the news.
If you have Twitter please tweet this photo and a request to say "I am a leaf on the wind watch how I soar" to @MarkJWeather

Help me find an old TV commercial?

I think it was for Nike Shox. It featured a group of people on treadmills, and each time they took a step, there'd be a "boing" noise. They start out of sync and then over the duration of commercial, they end up running in step.

Help feed my nostalgia? I'm surprised how hard this is to find. Come on, Youtube!

Sounds like the right shoe, but that's not the ad I'm remembering.

Saw it over the weekend. Not something I'd normally see unless accompanied by my 8 y/o daughter, but I enjoyed it.

You call a local food-serving establishment and place an order for pickup.

Do you leave a tip when you pick up the order?

Yes, that's the civilized thing to do.

No, tipping is for dining in.

+John Coons True, but that means that most waitstaff are kind of screwed, even working the same number of hours per day.

Don't get me wrong: I'm okay with tipping. What I'm not okay with is counting tips towards minimum wage. Waitstaff should make minimum wage before counting tips. Otherwise budgeting, and thus financial responsibility and stability, is impossible.

I, for one, and completely prepared to be branded a sexist for my inability to support a candidate for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with gender.

I expect there'll be a lot of "Don't you want a female president? Pffft, sexist" thrown around by those who don't realize the irony in that.

Given the Republican field, this should be an interesting election.
And, yes, I wish the Democrats could find a better candidate. I'm not much into Hillary. She's such a part of "the political machine".

Introduction
Let's have an engaging conversation. Sound good?

"Reckless Diplomacy Disorder" -- that's a descriptor about me that I truly enjoyed reading. I try to be a gentleman (yes, even on the Internet), but I'm human. I can be irreverent and scathing just like anyone else.

I maintain a G+ Community for Frank Zappa... if you're interested, it will enrich your life.

In Brief (random word association summary):

Unconventional. Mechanical Engineer. Zappa fan. Size 10-12 shoes. Love spicy food. CAD enthusiast. Gamer. Atheist. Asimov and Clarke are my homeboys.

Slightly less brief:
Things I like to see and share about.

  • Science Fiction
  • Emerging Technology
  • 3D Cad
  • Open Source

As far as I'm concerned, there is no other Polish bakery in Cleveland. They are simply the best. Great food, great people! I'll be coming back again and again. Also, they make FANTASTIC pierogi.

Good food, good price (neither too expensive or too cheap). The only thing that I can complain about is that it was incredibly busy. But that's still a good thing, and we didn't wait long. Try the golden sack. It's delicious.

Good food and good ambiance. Don't worry if you get lost in the building the first time. I suspect that everyone does.

It has all the standards you might expect from a hotel. The rooms are clean, the staff is polite, and they have breakfast in the mornings. There is just one problem so glaring that it made the whole stay impossible to enjoy: Worst. Wifi. Ever. Now, it may be because my room was at the end of the hall, but that should be no excuse. If they claim to have wifi, then the wifi should be throughout the building, and not just for some rooms. I tried to change rooms to another one that might have had a better wifi signal, but they could only offer me the same room one floor down. Surprise! The exact same problem with the wifi. If I had the choice, I would stay away from this hotel until they fixed the wifi problem. Bad wifi is much worse than no wifi.
