We are having such a great Spring Season here in New Orleans!  Sure, we have had our rainy days, but for the majority, the days have been filled with sunshine and usually a light breeze!

This is the perfect time of year to visit New Orleans and come spend some time on the top level of our tour bus!  You get to see some beautiful sights of our great city and learn a little touch of history from our one of a kind tour guides!

Each tour guide has their own way of explaining the history along the route, so if you "hop off" and then "hop back on" you may find you have an entirely different character explaining the highlights!  It is such a fun and education tour to take!

We hope many of you have plans to visit New Orleans this Spring & Summer and we so look forward to see you all on one of our tours!

Hurry up!  Book that reservation and come on down to see us!!

One of the many coveted things in New Orleans during Carnival Season is the beloved King Cake!  In older years, it was basically a huge cinnamon roll with colored sprinkles, then we started added icing, then fillings, and now, you can get so many different types of King Cakes, it is almost mind blowing!

We even have a local food truck that sells a King Cake Burger! Believe it or not, it is very popular!

If you are looking for a great King Cake to bring home, we are going to give you a few places near our Hop On – Hop Off spots where you can purchase one!

Stop #1:
You have a multitude of choices in the French Quarter!

Aunt Sally’s Pralines, located at 810 Decatur St.
They do an almond Croissant Queen Cake and a Praline King Cake.

Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse, located at 716 Iberville St.
They offer a King Cake Whoopie Pie!

La Divina Gelateria, located at 621 St. Peter St.
They offer mini King Cakes, along with larger King Cakes with or without fillings.  Their fillings include; Nutella, Salted Caramel, Strawberry Mascarpone and Nutella with Salted Caramel!

NOLA, located at 534 St. Louis St.
They offer a King Cake Bread Pudding with house made creole cream cheese ice cream, strawberry compote and toasted pecans!

Stop #10:
Cochon Butcher, located at 930 Tchoupitoulas St.
They are pretty famous for their Elvis King Cake, filled with peanut butter, bananas, house cured bacon and topped with marshmallows! They also have the traditional flavors, but instead of a baby inside, you will find an adorable baby piggy!

Stop #13:
Sucre, located at 3025 Magazine St.
Their king cakes are shiny and beautiful!  Their buttery pastry is filled with cream cheese.

Needless to say, this is just the icing on the cake, no pun intended!

For example, Cake Café & Bakery, located at 2440 Chartres St, has an apple and goat cheese filling and now, you can get the latest….. Mini Boudin and Bacon King Cake……..

Are you craving King Cake yet??  We are!

One of the many benefits of taking the City Sightseeing New Orleans bus tour, is you can hop on and hop off at different locations.

Taking a walk through the Garden District, or parts of the French Quarter....  Amazing.  If you stay on the tour from beginning to end, you of course get a plethora of history from the tour guide.  But keep in mind, if you get off, and then later get back on, you will still get the remainder of the tour and the history!

This is something not to be missed, whether you are a local or a coming in from out of town!  Here is a home that is delightfully decorated in the Garden District!

December is here.  There is no denying it!  If you walk down the streets of the French Quarter, decorations are every where!  This time of year, New Orleans just becomes even more magical!

Taking one of our bus tours gives you the opportunity to see so much of our beautiful city, and the fact that there are several stops where you can hop on and hop off is a bonus!

If you find that we have brought you to an area you would like to explore, be sure to let the tour guide know you want to get off at said stop and keep in mind, that as long as the buses are running, there will be another bus there every 30 minutes!  So after you have concluded that you have explored enough, you can head back to the stop where you hopped off and hop back on!
