We looked at many kitchen design stores as well as the "big box" stores. City Cabinets beat their prices and best of all you got PERSONAL ATTENTION. Their staff knowledge is excellent. They worked 1 on 1 and the designer came out during the installation to ensure it was done properly. Speaking of installation, their cost to install our kitchen shredded the competition (we are talking thousands less). We are very happy and will do business with them again.

It was a long way before I found City Cabinets Center. I was going to renew my kitchen and bathroom cabinets at the very beginning. Then people suggested me to refacing them for better result. When I was almost ready to do refacing I found City Cabinets Center. Their price is very competitive. It only cost me a few hundreds more to get NEW cabinets than refacing. What am I wait for??? Plus JADE is very professional and patient to help me get through everything. I wish I didn't have to waste time to shopping around. Installation date was almost one week earlier than what I thought! Thank you very much guys!!!! I will go back to you guys again when I buy my next house.------who knows when though.LoL...

Check out this Vintage-Modern mashup!   #kitchendesign
After real estate developer Jay Lappen purchased this Los Angeles cottage from its longtime owner, he was eager to transform it from shabby-and-not-so-chic-anymore to a bolder, updated style. Rotting wood, overgrown ivy and dated decor mandated a gut renovation. For the kitchen, Lappen’s directive to interior designer Shelby Wood was that he loved a white kitchen and he rarely cooked anything on a stove. Though he loves to entertain, he’s more of...

By adding legs to inset cabinetry, this cabinetry takes on a furniture look befitting to its 17th-century roots.
Custom design was key to the renovation of this 17th-century Historic England Grade II listed cottage in Sandwich, Kent. “There are no straight lines here,” says designer Holly Christian, who headed up the project. “The floors slope, and the ceilings bow. That’s why renovating it became a labor of love and took as long as it did.” It took a year of painstaking work to renovate and reconfigure the cottage, and care was taken to restore original fe...

From floors to ceilings and the details in between, reclaimed wood warms a room with interest and age. Here's what to know and how to use it.
Everyone is buzzing about reclaimed wood. But why, how and where should you use it? In the kitchen, there are plenty of fantastic opportunities, from floors and cabinets to island accents and floating shelves, all the way up to ceilings and ceiling beams. You can also add the material in furniture, accessories and light fixtures. Why choose reclaimed wood in the kitchen? For one thing, lots of these woods are no longer available — today’s lumber ...

Whether you want a single room or a whole house done, the maximum service level means the least work for you.
Decorating a house can be a daunting project, even for devout DIYers. Most homeowners would love the help of a skilled professional, but many misconceptions about what interior designers do — and what they cost — prevent people from seeking guidance. It shouldn’t be this way! Most homeowners don’t know that there are three basic ways decorators and interior designers work with clients: full design services, design plans and design consultations. ...

Get expert info on what cabinet features are worth the money, for both you and potential buyers of your home.
The kitchen is the most expensive room in the house to build. The national average cost of a kitchen remodel is $50,000, though the real cost can vary widely, depending on where you live, the scope of the project and the materials you choose. New cabinetry can take up much of that expense. Make the most of this big purchase by treating your new cabinets as an investment. Realtor Victoria Gangi offers insider tips on how to get the best return o...

This mid-century house gets a modern update, complementary to the original style of the home. Of course, we're especially partial to what they did with the kitchen.

This kitchen goes from sad to smart with an eco-chic renovation.
This family’s kitchen was not living up to their style, their lifestyle or their ethos. Basically a wide galley, it was dark and dated, and because it wasn’t laid out in the most efficient way, it lacked storage and counter space. As one of the homeowners is the CEO of a company that helps homeowners find and finance sustainable solutions for their homes, making sure the kitchen was ecofriendlier and healthier was a priority. Also a priority was ...

This classic white kitchen has farmhouse flair.
The couple who owns this Mill Valley, California, house had hired a design team to help transform a small ranch house into a larger family home. As one of the owners says, “We wanted a ‘forever house.’” He’s from the East Coast, and she hails from Chicago, and they had envisioned a more traditional dwelling in their adopted West Coast neighborhood. But while biking around Sonoma County on vacation, she kept noticing the great farmhouses that dot ...

How to de-stinkify the garbage disposal.
Does this sound familiar? You’ve cleaned your kitchen to spotless hygienic perfection, but you catch a whiff of something rotten every time you pass the sink. There’s a piece of something you threw down there and ground up days ago that’s stuck in the garbage disposal, and the smell only gets worse no matter how many times you run it. Inspired by recent events in my own kitchen, I reached out to three experts to get their advice on how to de-stin...
