After enjoying this neighborhood spot ever since it opened a few years ago (and being a frequent customer), I chose it for my birthday dinner, and was so disappointed--mostly with the service and attitude of the waiter. I had reserved a table, mentioned that it was for a birthday, then got there and was seated in the dark where the lights had not worked since the day before. We could barely read the menu, let alone the bill. I asked for tomato soup (yummy there), and was told 1/2 hour later, not available (got charged anyway). Was also told I'd get a birthday dessert, but did not. The waiter did give us ONE extra glass of wine "to share" with my friend (saying it was on him)... wow, thanks! The day staff there has always been friendly, and they know me. Unfortunately, I don't feel much like going back.

I had this once before and it was a better 3 1/2 star experience. However this review is reflecting upon the large business group happy hour dinner my place of work made plans for yesterday. They sat us outside on a nice day. We had about 25 people in our group. Waiters kept coming out and taking orders. At first the food and drinks were coming out within a reasonable time for a large group. I ordered a ale that was delicious. I forgot the name 8( I also tried the fries (okay) brussel sprouts (good) chicken nuggets (very good) meatballs (very good and a little on the spicy side) macaroni and cheese (very good) and the oysters (disappointing). The oysters were not shucked properly and were still connected to the inner shell. This made it rather hard to enjoy properly. But I did come here last year and the oysters were very good. So just watch out. Also as time progressed and the food orders were turning into more drink orders the servers were slowing down by a lot. So its a give and take situation. Yeah the food is decent. But as the night went on all orders were slowing down. Will I be back? Im sure ill make my rounds again.

Nice place to have dinner and a beer after work if your office is close by. I have met up with friends here after the day is done and usually have a good time. They have a good beer selection and some tasty dishes. Nothing too crazy but a solid place that you'll enjoy for sure.

We stopped here to grab some food in Culver City! The interior was very rustic and well decorated. I got the french toast and it was one of the best french toasts I've ever had. It was super creamy and so so good. French toast usually tastes too heavy to me, but this one somehow tasted light and creamy. I'm not a huge french toast person since most are too much for me, but after a night of drinking at the bars, bread sounded real good. ;) The only thing that bugged me were how small the water glasses were and they barely fit ice. I'm a huge water lover, so I was refilling that thing every 2 minutes. However, I was super happy with all of the food here! The atmosphere, food and our server were all wonderful! Fun Fact: They have serve your own beer at each table which was super cool! They charge you on how much you pour. I'll try that out next time I visit!

Food is awful lately! Flavorless and bland. Seating is uncomfortable. Staff- unprofessional and unfriendly Music - LOUD Ozzy Osborne and Bon Jovi Customers- super young, loud and drunky. Much better gastropubs and restaurants in that area. Not returning.

This is a great place for happy hour in Culver City. The happy hour menu beats out the regular menu by far. I have an issue with places that serve small plates that should be tapas at full entree places, so I'm not sure that the regular menu is for me. However, the bar staff is excellent.
