Citizens Advice changes lives across Edinburgh every day.

Whether helping people keep their home, sorting out overwhelming #debts, linking people to local support services, or advising on #consumer issues, when something goes wrong we are there for all the people of #Edinburgh.

We are a #charity and charge nothing for our services. We rely on grants and #donations to survive.

Perhaps you, a friend, colleague or family member has used our service and would now like to help us in return?

#LoveYourNHS?

The Patient Advice & Support Service (PASS) is an independent service which provides free, accessible and confidential information, advice and support to patients, their carers and families about #NHS #Scotland #healthcare.

Advisers can help you understand what you can expect and what is expected of you on your journey with NHS Scotland.

We can provide you with information, advice and support if you want to give feedback, raise concerns or complaints about healthcare provided by NHS Scotland.

Every day across the capital Citizens Advice Edinburgh makes a positive difference to people's lives.

From helping someone to keep their home, helping them to deal with overwhelming debts, connecting them to local support services, advising on welfare and social security, or consumer issues, our service is here for all the people of Edinburgh.

Many of the people who come to us for advice leave with a better understanding of their situation and are better placed to deal with issues in the future.

We help people in the advice that we give, and the lessons we learn from giving that advice allow us to achieve real and positive change.

Almost 1 in 6 people in Scotland have sought advice at some time from their local CAB service, and 96% of consumers agree that Citizens Advice Bureaux are an important community asset.

We are a local charity and our advice is always provided for free. We rely on fund-raised and donated income to continue our work. Please consider supporting us:

Citizens Advice Edinburgh Annual Report
Our annual report shows that Citizens Advice Edinburgh helped around 14,000 local residents to resolve some 52,000 issues in the financial year of 2016/17.

The majority of people seeking advice were from the poorest 20% of households in Edinburgh and a third of all issues were with Welfare Entitlement, including a high proportion of clients with a disability needing advice and help with the Personal Independence Payment (PIP).

"Research indicates that at least 7,000 people in Scotland will be affected by this reform, exacerbating existing problems for many, and increasing demand on the advice sector to offer support. It is expected that these reforms will particularly impact lone parents and their children, pushing many into rent arrears and ultimately to risk of homelessness".
