Introduction
Bloom where you're planted. Home grown in California, now blooming in Seattle.

Just your average baby-faced +40 fashion blogger who loves thrift shopping and personal style. I believe fashion should be about fun not fads. Life too, for that matter.
Bragging rights
my name is Bella and I want you to bloom madly

Skin care = Self Care. I'm not sure I was expecting such an uplifting experience when I booked my appointment with Djaoulda. Of course, her facials were praised highly via word of mouth by some West Seattle pals who had experienced her services. Professional, yet warm was this highly rated certified esthetician, and the space was cozy, relaxed and felt a bit, uh, spiritual. I chose the Geisha facial, and I felt pampered, nourished and overwhelmed by the wonderful aromatic oils and balms slathered on my face. By the end of it, it was if I had experienced a body message, so relaxed and refreshed was my spirit. When I arrived home, I was delighted to see visible results on my mug: even complexion, clear pores, and an all over glow-y appearance. It reminded me of why I chose to do a facial in the first place: the need to take care of myself now includes the commitment to my body and skin. This service seems indulgent, but really is something anybody who values themselves is sure to do. Please note: appointments fill quickly- book asap! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Do you believe in unicorns? Well, as rare and impossible as a unicorn, is a record store where the clerks are as nice as they are knowledgeable. Beats and Bohos is such a unicorn. They have an amazing record collection, considering how small the section is- good prices on some fantastic vinyl. But wait, there is more: vintage clothing. vintage house wares. vintage tschokies. vintage furniture. Monthly music and art events. And did I mention the folks who run the place. Nice as pie. No attitude about your record choices, no too-cool-for-school snarls at your ugly Christmas sweater worn without irony. Just good ol' fashion mid-western politeness mixed with a smidge of Seattle swagger and a dose of California cool. In short: soon to be legendary. Already awesome. Go check it out.
