This is great news.  Now where did I put those scissors to cut the cord?  Ah, here is an ax, that will do nicely.
Cord cutters across the country knew they had turned a corner the moment HBO announced that it was finally placing some distance between itself and traditional pay TV with its new HBO Now service. ...

I'd love to cut the cord, but I had to pay ~$130 in overage fees just from watching netflix. Bandwith caps/overage fees suck. :|

Well, the NSA won't hate this with me, I don't text.

However, I'm sure they will be quite miffed to know that I do all my secret communication by telepathy.
There's a growing number of slick, easy-to-use encryption apps.

No reading rule on bus should apply to the driver, not the passengers.
An eight-year-old girl in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que., was told she’s not allowed to read a book on the school bus because it poses a risk to the safety of other students.

I'd have to agree with this.  Back in the 70s, 80s and even 90s I used to have the TV on all the time.  Now I'm seriously thinking about taking it to recycling.
More homes have turned to online video with 40 percent of U.S. homes subscribing to a streaming service such as Netflix, Amazon Instant Video or Hulu.

So I had a TV sitting in my living room for the past 3 years. I l used it 3 times that I can recall. One of those times was to hook up Roku.

I just moved to a new place but my TV did not move with me.

Would an HDTV smart tv change things for me? I don't honestly know.

Gee, is this an indication that I'm not world famous and still need an introduction?  Well, any way, "Hi I am Cisop Sixpence, you may know me from Second Life or back in the glory days of CompuServe.  I'm a bit introverted, but that is not a bad thing.  Think you know me from somewhere else too?  Maybe so, but lets keep that between you and me."
