Great thought piece on the evolving industry of publishing books.
As Book Business’ year-end trendspotting survey indicated, direct-to-consumer marketing and bookselling will be top-of-mind for all segments of the publishing industry in 2016. It’s clear from these results, as well as the slew of newly-launched consumer-facing sites, apps, and newsletters that publishers are eager to learn how consumers find books, why they buy, and how …

I'd just like to have a little moment of blatant self congratulations. My newest book pubs today and it's so stinking cute, I can't stand it. It's a 60 page 4-color gift book of original art and inspirational quotes by me and my dear friend and actress, Kathy Kinney (of Drew Carey fame). It's adorbs and you should buy 10 each. :)

It's ironic to me that the more Google pulls away from G+, the more attracted I find myself to the platform. Looking up therapist's numbers now. :)

To Boost or not to post. That's the question I get most from clients who are new to Facebook advertising. The answer is not a simple yes or no.

Delighted to be quoted in today's ADWEEk article about how to fix Twitter. Now, if only they're listening - and doing. . .

Boom! Here's a great example of an author being able to tap into news events to promote a book - and here's the key - and still deliver value to the readers. Brilliant and I'd expect nothing less from client and friend, Mike Berland, professional fixer and pollster (think Olivia Pope without the murder - and male). http://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/13/fashion/putting-the-presidential-candidates-and-america-on-a-diet.html
Mike Berland, a political pollster and corporate crisis manager, has written a diet book that he says will help people win the campaign against fat.

Brand building isn't just for mega businesses. Building an author brand is now an essential skill for writers, especially if they have more than one story to tell.
When an author submits his or her manuscript to a publisher, there are several things to go into their decision on whether or not to publish the author’s work. First, of course, is “Is this a well-written book that people will want to read?” The very next question is “what is this author’s platform?” What …

Good idea, Cindy. Unfortunately, authors 'usually' don't think like marketers. In my experience they feel it's distasteful. Yet all of your suggestions are excellent, creative ideas to subliminally promote their work. Including give-aways!

Very simple, straightforward explanation of steps every website owner should consider. Most important takeaway for me? Use the webmaster tools and monitor your reports.
To protect a website from Google penalty, one must keep tandem with factors that makes Google to penalize the site and also their relevant solutions.

Think about how you can repurpose the content you're creating daily for social media. Here's one example. My first book led to creating a successful Facebook page to continue to promote the book. The daily posts evolved into a very visual content stream that has now been repurposed as an annual daily desk calendar.
Queen of Your Own Life is full of jolts of inspiration to help you see yourself as the powerful, beautiful woman that you are. Using vintage images with sh

Introduction
Cindy Ratzlaff is a former actress and comedian whose quest for health insurance caused her to give up the highly charged world of show business and pursue a sensible lifestyle in marketing and public relations.  Never one to remain sensible for long, Cindy's performance needs were met by creating blockbuster award-winning book launch campaigns. Generally considered one of the finest boardroom comedians of our time, Cindy now  consults with  publishers and authors on elite project launches and  has written her own book, Queen of Your Own Life (March 2010, Hardcover).
