My newest article about leaving Anonymous Business Reviews with Google+. Cc+John Mueller
For a long time, I’ve had some doctor friends complaining to me that once Google Places changed over to the new Google+ format, all their patients lost the ability to leave anonymous reviews (thus hurting their business and their rankings). They asked me what to do; and I, in turn, asked my fellow SEO friends […]

My new blog post: Magnificent Mobile Website And App Analytics: Reports, Metrics, How-to!   http://goo.gl/SLBrJN

As is clear from the graph, mobile rules the world. Yet mobile measurement lags behind. The post above outlines a simple, yet high impact, six step process for mobile site and application measurement.

The data collection mechanisms you need to leverage (tools, tags, tracking), the best reports to start with (standard, custom) and the best metrics to deliver actionable insights (loyalty, app store referrers, micro-outcomes and more).

Mobile friendly sites were important in 2007, we've realize responsive design simply stinks less than the alternative, now it is time to truly step up your measurement game. Here's you plan: http://goo.gl/SLBrJN

Lol!

I can spot a +Duane Forrester headline a mile away. :)

A good read, a sound basic point and a great title from the esteemed Bing-er.

#mobile #seo #extinction
Well, not really, but maybe you could argue that that asteroid was a kind of “mobile”. And while those creatures would have been powerless...

Crawling and indexing of Android apps

Publishers work hard to give their users the best experience to view their content on mobiles, sometimes by building excellent mobile websites and sometimes by building native web apps.

Wouldn't it be cool if you could give your users the choice of viewing your content either on the website or via your app, both straight from Google's search results?

Starting today, Googlebot can now crawl and index Android apps, just like crawling and indexing of websites. If all goes well, our algorithms can then decide to show an "Open in app" button next to your content if we show it as a search result for a signed-in user who has your app installed.

This means users can now choose to go to your website or to your app straight from Google's search results.

Sounds interesting? Dig in:
