Another night shot for us East Coasters to see.  This one will be a little more chilly than previous Wallops shots for us though.  ;)

The Orbital Sciences Corporation Antares rocket is seen shortly after it was raised into position at launch Pad-0A, Tuesday, December 16, 2013, at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, VA. The Antares will launch a Cygnus spacecraft on a cargo resupply mission to the International Space Station. The Orbital-1 mission is Orbital Sciences' first contracted cargo delivery flight to the space station for NASA. Among the cargo aboard Cygnus set to launch to the space station are science experiments, crew provisions, spare parts and other hardware. Launch is scheduled for 9:19 p.m. EST on Thursday, Dec. 19. Weather permitting, it may be widely visible along the east coast of the United States. Photo Credit: (NASA/Bill Ingalls)

All about Software  -

Going to be looking at alternatives to Skype. Too many problems the past couple months involving connectivity issues, then an obscure message today about "Skype Home is not available". Has taken too much time among two shows and four cohosts to have not been able to record a total of three episodes.
Just feel like it's no longer the stable and reliable software it once was.
Any suggestions?

+Mike Phillips that event you refer to was 48 years ago, not much to say that hasn't been said in a few sentences. :-)
With regard to the "objective" tests, I didn't really mean science, but maybe some idea of who and what. Monitoring or post-producing a recording on big speakers seems to me to be missing that point. Also the weight of the content, and by that I mean, is it transitory like Apple rumors, or an in-depth with Morgan (The Voice) Freeman? The latter is worth infinite pains (but it'll still be heard in cars an planes or earbuds), the former doesn't matter much IMO, as long as it's without too much noise.

Looking for your opinions on the best photo-sharing service that you use.  Maureen and I just spent a week in Montserrat (West Indies volcanic island), and have a ton of pics.  We want to share, but where?  Both of us have only dabbled (Facebook and Flickr mostly).  We want to use the service that best "gets the word out" so that others that search for the island get to really know about it.  We ourselves learned much from others' photos on Flickr mostly... but is there better?
What are your recommendations?  Why?  Thank you.  :)

Beautiful rocket launch witnessed from NJ... the second one I've seen  from the road in front of my house.  Who needs to go to Florida when you have Wallops Island, VA a couple hundred miles away!

Sitting on the back deck sipping a beer and watching the sky. Saw five satellites but no meteors. Just less than an hour to see a rocket launch from Wallops in Virginia.

I was able to publish the latest Hold The Gluten podcast a few weeks late after a few weeks off from sicknesses, vacation, travel, and other distractions.

Introduction
A geek by any other name.
I'm a married Dad of two amazing kids (I prefer geeklets), happily living a tech and gadget filled life in southern New Jersey.

I have worked in IT on one level or another for over 20 years, the latter half being in the Health Sciences industry.  I'm currently consulting in computer systems validation.

In my spare time, I have been producing podcasts for the last six years, blogging off and on, and continuing to build my social media communities with amazing people smarter than me.  In 2012 I started my second company, Palaver Media, a fledgling podcast production company.

Whatever wakes my interest, or scratches my geeky itch, I am there and participating.  If I can drag my family along with me, that makes everything even better.

Combined my love of podcasting with my love of the Philadelphia Eagles into one with EaglesFanCast.net in 2007 and talked my lovely wife into blogging and podcasting the following year with HoldTheGluten.net.

Find me as @chuckst on most other social media spaces, and GlutHound on most gaming destinations.  Add me, and tell me you did!
