Set the mood for Valentine’s Day with #Chromecast and #GooglePlayMusic. Cozy up with a fireplace on your TV while listening to your favorite love tracks. Learn more from +Google Play team below...
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, we’ve got the perfect way for you to set the mood. When you listen to Google Play Music on your Chromecast, you can display a cozy fireplace on your TV while your music plays in the background. And yes, it’s just as awesome as it sounds.

To turn this on, click the Gear icon in the upper right corner in Google Play Music on the web and select “Labs.” Find the “Chromecast Fireplace Visualizer” lab and click “enable.” Voila! Next time you cast music to your Chromecast from your phone, tablet or web player, you’ll see a crackling fire instead of album art. Get started:

So stay in, sit back, and crank up those love songs.

Requires the standard "Not available outside the US" disclaimer.
If only we could do this with our Picasa/Google+ gallery slideshows, too!
"The Google Play music player is currently available in select territories."
Only works from the web, not mobile. Meaning I can't play content on the device doing the streaming. Sigh.
It would be so so So SO good if Chromecast had an audio-out, or, better to set up, to bring out an audio only chromecast. Music around my house, through any audio device. Da dahhhhhh! :)
looks like there's an AT-AT roasting in the fire :D
+Marc Cox You need to set it up on the web, but that setting will affect casts whether it's from web or a device.
Google - the world is outside USA - be a global company and provide your stuff all over the place :-)
+Chris Hogg you can buy a HDMI to audio cable converter that will allow your chromecast to output to anything. I've seen a guy do it on a blog somewhere
This is great - it would be great if they built into the music app the ability to have the pictures do a slide show while the music played!
+Chris John oh really? still not quite a seamless environment between platforms but ok for now.
Here in Canada folks!  Thanks for the let-down. sarcasm
The problem is'nt regulations +AJ Schultz. There's no regulation here that prevent me from casting stuff from my phone or tab to my television. In many markeds in Europe, we have only access to apps in Play - no music, no books. We can't by devices like Chromecast, Nexus tabs or Nexus 5 in Play. The way I got my Chromecast is from a firm that import them directly from US. We do have an Google office here, but the only thing they do is selling ads. People in Canada(next to US) and in most of the Erupean countries are frustrated reading about nice stuff that is US only. Thats why I'm telling Google to be a real global company. I have no problem with Google starting in local markeds and then rolling out stuff over time to the rest of the world, but I do have problems waiting 4-5 years to buy an Nexus device. :-)
Boo Hoo.. Why don't you just try to take over the world again. Quite complaining and get Big Mac or two.
not available in my territory.....whata hell??
I use this to read by at night sometimes.
