Reindeer meet, now enhanced with Cesium-137!  (100% natural, unlike other manufacturers using cheap artificial isotopes.)

This "How It should have ended" video was really spot on. Got a lot of laughs from this.

+Leo Deegan It is pretty fun to keep track of the WCS results/games. Are you busy watching the other regions too?

Excellent article on some great FPS games. Agree with many of the games on the list but honestly they could have said "blah, blah, blah" for all I cared so long as Doom was number one.
Gathering together the best shooters is no easy task, but if you're looking for a new PC FPS to play, look no further than this list of first-person greats.

By now you might have seen that it's because September 22nd is the birthdays of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins.

Depending on how "hard core" of a Middle-earth nerd you are, you might even argue that September 12 (for this year), not 22nd, is the correct date given the mismatch between the Gregorian and Shire calendars.

Just got the new U2 album in my iTunes library. While I appreciate the album (it's free!), I would really have preferred an email or something to let me know about this ahead of time. I spent a few panicked minutes worried that my account was hacked and someone purchased something without my permission. Not cool!

Interesting article on what may have contributed towards the "goto fail" bug on iOS. This article takes the stance that the language you use makes a big difference: that is, some languages are better to use and others just shouldn't be used. The argument is that C-style languages distinguish between single statement and multi-statement blocks, whereas other languages (hint: Eiffel, the language created by the author of the article) don't distinguish which means the equivalent of "if (condition) print(a)" would be written in a similar style to "if (condition) { print(a); b = c; }". In these non C-style languages, the extra "goto" statement would have caused either a compilation error or would have visually stood out to the programmer.

Other languages that come to mind that do similar seem to be Python (with explicit whitespace indentation) and Go (where "for" loops and "if" statements always get braces whether they contain a single statement or more http://golang.org/ref/spec#For_statements, http://golang.org/ref/spec#If_statements). I think Ruby would fit the bill too (with it's begin/end pairs), but I'm not familiar enough to be sure.

Pretty fun. Voting on Star Wars character face-offs. Hard choices. :)

This is Madness! Who will you choose in a face-off between two of the galaxy's most powerful and beloved Jedi Masters?

Pleasantly surprized. Really enjoyed the meal. The service wasn't out of this world but wasn't bad either.

Very nice place. Had a delicious crepe here. Place was busy so had to sit on the third floor and took that as a good sign; definitely was. Unfortunately the waitress couldn't speak English and my Japanese was not nearly good enough so the order was a bit of a surprise, but a pleasant one.

Tried out there pork souvlaki and Greek salad. Very satisfied with both. Pork was a bit fatty but not too bad.
