Always nice to see the Maine craft beer love.
PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — In a nondescript industrial park, beer geeks line up several times a week outside Bissell Brothers to get the latest batch of fresh beer — much like foodies seeking the freshest baguettes, pomegranates…

City Sunset
One of many shots I took of Tuesday's sunset, looking back towards Portland.

Good news: we may be living in the golden age of good beer. So what cities have the best - and most - microbreweries and brewpubs? Portland, Maine ranks...

My family literally came upon The Geekery by chance. We saw the door painted like the TARDIS and had to stop (and yes, it's bigger on the inside). The decor is café/bar with a large gaming area in the back. The menu is filled with puns from all corners of nerdom. We had a couple of good local beers and the food was homemade. The kids loved the comic/genre art on the walls. Our server was really great and very nice.

Best BBQ in town. I have erotic dreams about the smoked ribs.

Good prices, good produce, good deli. You could do a lot worse.

It's Target. I never feel very good about myself after spending money here, but it just has to be done sometimes.

Perfectly fine beach with a playground. Unfortunately, it seems that every person in SP/CE with a dog owns the beach in the evening. The beach was full of off leash dogs with owners who didn't care what they were doing. Barking at children, knocking children over, eating the food set out on picnic blankets, etc. This wasn't one dog/owner, this was several different dogs/owners.

Sometimes you just have to hit a restroom while on the highway. This stop is clean and big, with plenty of snack options.
