Someone got iOS notifications to work on Android Wear.
If you have an iPhone and want to use Android Wear, you're pretty much out of luck. Google has hinted in the past that it might bring iOS on board, but if you can't wait you'll be glad to hear that...

I need a graphic artist capable of 3D modeling and rigging to help me make an experience for the +Oculus Rift. Please repost. I'm having a hard time finding somebody, and the people I've tried to contact don't even respond.

Well, I'm trying to get into the industry and finding it impossible without experience. I'm not an artist, I can do all the programming, but without decent models I can't make a decent game. Nobody wants to play a game made with shitty programmer art. There must be a student somewhere who is willing to help out, with the same goal in mind.

About time

I decide to spent some time on investigating latest unit tests approach introduced in Android Studio 1.1 and gradle build plugin 1.1-rc2 (btw rc3 is available and rc4 is comming)

Initial Info:
https://sites.google.com/a/android.com/tools/tech-docs/unit-testing-support

So whats new:
- we have a new build task "mockableAndroidJar" which generates mockable-android-{api}.jar. this mock library used for executing the unit tests

Found Problems:
1) mock library generation is done in extra simple way - look into the source code: https://android.googlesource.com/platform/tools/base/+/studio-1.1-dev/build-system/builder/src/main/java/com/android/builder/testing/MockableJarGenerator.java
2) Gradle task also is not extra good for today - the source code: https://android.googlesource.com/platform/tools/base/+/studio-1.1-dev/build-system/gradle-core/src/main/groovy/com/android/build/gradle/internal/tasks/MockableAndroidJarTask.groovy

What we will need?
1) way to customize mockable android JAR creation:
a) define excludes/includes for gradle task. For example: SparseArray i think is safe to include without replacing it by mock. Right now its a dummy mock class which cannot be used inside tests.
b) ability to merge library with own Mock classes implementation
c) ability to use implementations of Android classes from Robolectric

Workarounds/Hacks
- during mock android jar generation all classes and methods in result JAR become virtual, so we can inherit and override them. Code can be adjusted by factory pattern that will return own mock implementation. Bad side - android is sensitive to number of methods, so adding of additional factories will make code more complex, and of course you have to adjust your code. Will be good to avoid that.
- mockable-android-{api}.jar replace by robolectric implementation, simple copy/replace task in gradle.
