They come in pairs: C and C++ programmers should note the new ODPI-C 2.2.1 release https://blogs.oracle.com/opal/odpi-c-22-release-powering-oracle-database-access

This wrapper layer makes it easy (well, easier) to write C and C++ programs for Oracle Database. We use it under our Node.js and cx_Oracle drivers, and it is being used for Rust, Go, and Haskell drivers too.

node-oracledb 2.0 now has pre-built binaries!

The key user change in node-oracledb 2.0 is the introduction of pre-built binaries, removing the installation pain felt particularly by Windows users.

Incremental changes include:

- Improved data type support.

- Improved query handling and performance.

Other enhancements and bug fixes also landed.

node-oracledb 2.0 is the first node-oracledb release to use the ODPI-C abstraction layer https://github.com/oracle/odpi, which is also used by Python's cx_Oracle API, as well as 3rd party APIs for other languages.
