An amazing post by Cameron Dunham who shares his experience of working with editor Laura Black at Fictive Dream. Cameron has been very generous and allowed me to publish all the editor's comments in this case study, clearly showing how the editorial process fine-tuned his story in preparation for publication.
Case study: the advantages of working with an editor. Cameron Dunham shares examples of working with editors at Fictive Dream on his short story The In-Between Days.

Introduction

I live in Bristol. I self-published my first novel, Wicked Game, on Lulu in 2010. I'm addicted to writing stories, riding motorcycles and playing drums in rock bands (not all at the same time).

I’ve recently created a website showcasing short stories I’ve written and had published in short story magazines. On the site, I use the stories as case studies, offering tips and advice about my experiences with getting my work published and winning competitions.
