Do you spend a lot of time watching instructional YouTube Videos?
I use YouTube quite often for instructional content and how-to videos for self-paced learning. Many times the videos people post are not edited very well, they talk slowly, or give too many examples. Too much time is wasted getting to the good stuff! On quite a few videos you have the option of changing the playback speed. 1.25 and 1.5 speed usually is adequate to still be able to comprehend without sounding like a chipmunk. For example, watching ...

Is distance a constant? Are there parts of the universe where length is not the same as other parts of the universe?

NASA is working on a warp drive concept that involves contracting space in front of a craft while expanding the space behind it. If this proves to be possible and not just a theory than length would be a relative concept. That said you need to specify context when supplying length, i.e. distance from earth, etc. The simple fact that most all bodies in space are in motion at all times at varying rates relative to each other makes even that somewhat variable even without warp like factors.

So, apparently gmail has this feature which detects if you used the word attached in your email and do not actually have a file attached. Before sending it asks you if you want to send it anyway even though there is no file attachment.
That's pretty cool!

Also good to know, thanks +Carlos Moreno
I started using Thunderbird many years ago and found myself checking mail on too many different places all the time it was easier to stick with webmail.
I might try playing with it again at work though.

I often find myself recommending Linux to people who need their computers fixed due to being slow, viruses, whatever. Most of the time gaming is not a big concern for the demographic I served when I ran a computer business.
Not being much of a PC gamer myself, I never got all that excited about Steam. Since Steam is now supported on Linux, it seems like a great way to help convert people that might otherwise be unsure.
I just installed Steam on an older laptop; I'm putting myself through a 30 day challenge using linux at home, and decided to install Steam and try out some games.
I notice there are "Free" games, and "Free to Play" games...? Can anyone tell me what the difference is?

High Res Wifi Signal Mapping
WOW this is cool.
Mapping out Wifi in 3D space - it is like virtual 3D printing of signals and looks a little like ant colonies to me.

Story
Tagline
Trying to carve out a new niche for myself and find a new hobby
Introduction
My name is Chris - I'm writing a new introduction since I just closed my business of 10 years I feel I need say something else. Most of my life I've surrounded myself with technology and never really took enough time to find other passions. I'm an IT specialist and have past experience running a help desk and computer consulting business. When you work two jobs it takes a big enough toll on you and your family. But when you do IT work for both your day job and a side business, It really wears on you.
Bought a motorcycle couple years ago hoping that that would be a fun pastime, but never really drove it much. I am hoping now that can change, I also recently bought a kayak and enjoy exploring the waters in the Sarasota area and pretending I can fish.
I also tend to be a bit of an introvert and want to find ways to open up more with people.
