Yesterday we had automated code tests, then scans for vulnerabilities in sources, now, fix the bugs automatically.

Not really efficient right now, but 5 accepted pull requests so far is a great start.

EU fines Google, Google starts charging for all Google apps on phones sold in Europe.

But they allow sales of Android phones without their apps as well. That pretty much exactly what the antitrust fine is all about.

So the EU wins, and Google gets the money back from the European customers.

I'm usually all for antitrust. And the Google was fined correctly for the price comparison shenanigans. But this is different. Installation of the Apps ist the price to pay for the license free operating system.

"Since the pre-installation of Google Search and Chrome together with our other apps helped us fund the development and free distribution of Android, we will introduce a new paid licensing agreement for smartphones and tablets shipped into the EEA. Android will remain free and open source," Google said in a blog post.
