    Writer/Editor/Analyst, 2009 - present
Since 2009, I've covered news and analyses about social, digital and technology for Mashable. I created Mashable Entertainment and was its founding editor, where my focus was on the intersection between tech and entertainment before shifting my focus back to tech in my current role as senior tech analyst. I'm very focused on mobile, software and web development, social TV and the intersection between technology and media.
  • AMC Theatres
    Contributing Editor Script-to-Screen Blog, 2009 - 2010
I wrote news posts and did interviews covering the film industry for AMC Theaters' Script-to-Screen blog from its founding in 2009 until October 2010.
  • Weblogs, Inc.
Blogger, TUAW, Download Squad, Stylelist, 2007 - 2009
At Weblogs Inc., I was the deputy editor of Download Squad (RIP), TUAW and Stylelist. Here I did everything from write about the latest web browser or Mac app to the coolest tech fashion accessories.

If you watch me on +TWiT , you know how much I love +Bob's Burgers. But you might not know that I've been a fan of #Sleater-Kinney's for about 15 years. So this video, basically makes my life.

From last week. We re-visited #Hairgate. Guess wheat, iPhone 6 devices from Canada totally pull your hair. At least, in our VERY unscientific tests.

I'm super sad to see Jon Stewart leave +The Daily Show - he's one of my favorite commentators and one of the most talented people in the business. What's fascinating, tho, to me, is how the rise of The Daily Show mirrored, benefited from and aided the rise of the social web. Here's my analysis for this point for Mashable.
Mashable
Jon Stewart's replacement -- and virtually every other late-night program -- will exist in an online world that was largely built by 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.'

Interested in my +ers feedback on this one, since I know a lot of you use Android AND iOS.

If Apple plans to focus on stability and not features in iOS 9, this would be the perfect year to do so.

This is what Google needs, too. Have you used Lollipop on a device for a few months? Looks nice, and there's a lot to love, but there are some fundamentally huge flaws. My Nexus 7 LTE just upgraded, and it's pretty good. My Moto X was a different story.

Interesting!

Just wanted to confirm that the rumors are true -- I’m excited to be running Google’s Photos and Streams products!  It’s important to me that these changes are properly understood to be positive improvements to both our products and how they reach users.

That moment your husband shares a video with you over IM and doesn't realize said video was filmed in his wife's office.

+Raymond Wong and I reviewed the new #AmazonEcho. It's a pretty fantastic device, I love it. Read Ray's full review http://mashable.com/2015/02/10/amazon-echo-review/

+Christina Warren This can actually also be achieved through Android, however it would take additional tinkering. Not much, to be frank, but more than just buying a new unit. I'd love to see Google develop something like this [the product above] either way, I imagine it picks up voices better than a phone does.

Hey, I know, let's have an awesome #SuperBowl ad that makes everyone feel good. Wait, no. Let's make an ad about a kid who drowns before he can do anything.

What the actual fuck.

I agree with +Jeff Stevens . The unexpectedness of it, and the lack of appropriateness to the occasion made it more shocking.

This was one of the worst pitches I've ever seen. As I say in the video in the piece, "it's your period, not PTSD."

Just stop.
A tone-deaf pitch for a period tracker app made to help men avoid fights reminds us that stereotypes still permeate women's marketing.
