Confession: I Seriously Over-Analyze

The food is great, and they do a wonderful job when you let them know that you are gluten free. They have special plates they use to tell the orders apart. The lettuce wraps are to die for!

Called this taxi company to give us a ride from a hotel to the Hollywood Casino. We called about 9pm on a Saturday night and were told 45mins. That sounded reasonable. We gave them our phone number and waited. And waited, and waited. We called after an hour and were told the cab driver should have been there, then they hung up. We called after another 15mins and the phone was never answered, we kept calling and finally they said they would check out where the driver was and we asked them to call us back. They never did. A little before 11pm we called a final time, at this point it was 15 times within 30mins. I left a message detailing how irate I was that they wasted our night after they were recommended by the hotel staff! We left and drove ourselves to the casino and never got a call from the cab company. We will never call this company again and I'm going to let everyone know how they waste your time.

Really great food here. Almost always the food is fantastic. Last time we went was a Saturday night, and we were not impressed by the food. I won't hold that against them, everyone has off days. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The margaritas are great if not a little pricey. Mango is so good. I always get the tostadas with chicken, it's not on the menu, but you can still order it. 2 tostadas is a good size meal. Plus the chips and salsa is really good. Great atmosphere.

This was horrific. My family and I were in town for a funeral and came on Saturday night because of the huge snow storm that was due the next day. Saturday night was awful. While they do have a happy hour free drinks special, very limited options. 2 beer options, well liquor options, and about 4 wine options. The bar/restaurant was nice and spacious, with plenty of TVs and a decent amount of tables. Probably could have used a larger space since the hotel has 8 floors. There were TONS of kids in the hotel, jr high/high school hockey teams, jr high cheerleading/dance teams, and a TON of little kids. The kids were running around the hotel, in the elevators, around the lobby, in the open air sitting spaces, and along each floor. If you know Embassy, they are known for a large open space in the middle of the hotel, with the rooms along the outside and an open hallway/balcony so you can see every room from your own just by walking out the door. With kids running around, everyone can hear everything. Kids were playing outside our room until midnight when finally we called the front desk to report the noise, and told security was 20mins away. If you're looking to get any sleep on a Saturday night, skip this hotel. Breakfast the next morning wasn't much better. A very poor selection of a hot breakfast, the eggs were lumps and had no taste. The omelets were burnt, the fruit was not at all ripe or way too ripe, limited cereal choices, yogurt was open in a dish for you to scoop out. I am gluten free, there was next to nothing I could eat. Good think I bring my own cereal everywhere. And don't get me started on the milk, it tasted sour! Overall, I give this hotel ZERO stars and will never return. I strongly urge you to find a better suite option. The best part of this hotel was that my bed was comfortable, which was hard to enjoy since the walls are so thin you can hear EVERYTHING going on around you. Like actual conversations next door. Oh, and on Superbowl Sunday, the TV satellite went out due to weather in the entire hotel. It was never fixed, they acted like they didn't even care. They lost a lot of business in the bar after that.

3 stars for the price. (the online price is different from the in hotel price to book, so always book online if you can, its a $30 difference!) If all you're doing here is sleeping, its not bad. The room had clean sheets and towels. The floor was shaggy brown carpet. The heater worked fabulously and I didn't think it was too loud to sleep. One of the lamps didn't have a light bulb and all of the lamps were unplugged when we first got in there. There was no garbage can anywhere in the room, not even in the bathroom. It had a small microwave and fridge, the fridge worked fine, didn't try the microwave. It was a tube TV and the remote didn't work at all. The phone message light was flashing the whole time before we even got in the room. The towels were so tiny, its like they were meant for toddlers, and the 2 bath towels weren't even the same size. They felt like you were using sandpaper to dry off. The bathroom heat vent was covered in black dust and there were dirt/stains on the counters. It looked like the window to outside could open and there was an electrical extension cord right outside, but not sure it was connected to anything because of all the snow, couldn't see where it went. It has a bar connected to it, Borderlines Grill, which is a small local bar. Open until 230am, with a decent selection of liquors and beer, and bar food. We ate dinner here in hopes that it would be less pricey then going out to eat. I had the cheeseburger and the burger was dry. The fries ($1.00 extra) were steak fries and looked like they'd been boiled and not fried. They were soggy and didn't really taste cooked all the way. I barely ate anything, told the bartender it wasn't very good and was told she never received any complaints about the food. I highly doubt that. My boyfriend got the mozzarella sticks, which he said were crispy and very good. The chicken strips were just lukewarm, but tasty. He had 3 jack/cokes, and I had 3 Angry Orchard bottles. Total, we spent about $35 for the food and drinks. The bartender was very nice.

We always get great service here. This is one of the few places in Tiffin I can eat gluten free. The staff is very friendly. They are always packed but I've never waited more than 10 mins. I always get the Wildfire Salad, always fantastic.

I had a horrible experience here for dinner on Superbowl Sunday. It was incredibly snowy out, so the restaurant wasn't even busy. Yet our waitress took forever to bring our drinks. We ordered an appetizer and my sister ordered a drink then. We received our appetizer and the waitress had to be reminded my sister ordered a drink, and then she put the order in. The waitress essentially disappeared to talk to the other staff on more than one occasion. My empty beer bottle sat at our table then entire meal. I ordered the burger with no bun and a sweet potato. The burger was awful, it was overcooked and had little spongy pieces of fat in it. I barely ate half of it. My sweet potato was great though. The service was so poor, she was incredibly slow bringing refills and when it came time for our bill, she split the appetizer 3 ways, without even asking. I didn't eat any of the appetizer, it wasn't for me, and yet she put it on my bill. Very dissatisfied with the quality of the service and food at this location.
