I recently had the opportunity to spend the afternoon with Matty Matheson at VICE Canada where we lounged on traditional button tufted leather sofas, sipped on kombucha, and spoke on the topics of: being a new father, his relationship with his mentor Master Rang, the Canadian food culture, Drake's influence on the Toronto scene, how he turned his life around from being a "psycho drug addict, a fucking piece of shit, and a fucking shitty chef," and his new VICELAND series entitled, Dead Set On Life which premieres this Thursday, July 7th at 10PM ET/PT.

American Express unlocks memorable moments for half a million Canadians every year. Last year, Amex helped over 400,000 fans rock out to their favourite bands. Fast forward to last night… Toronto was in for a treat as Beyoncé took centre field at her Formation World Tour sell out show at the Rogers Centre.

As part of The Creator Class challenge (#TCCChallenges), LeSean Harris and I teamed up and utilized our multifaceted skills by collaborating on creative and art direction through visual storytelling.

LeSean has a passion for sharing impactful stories through motion picture, and myself, through multimedia storytelling and wardrobe styling.

Through both our respective storytelling skill sets, we essentially look to focus on issues and trends that impact society. With that being said, we welcome our video,  entitled — “Liberation.”

We are currently living in a moment in fashion (and lifestyle) where designers are challenging gender roles — Gender specific clothing is out and androgyny is in.

For some, this raises a sensitive topic of belonging through day-to-day challenges. There’s a stigma associated with the term ‘androgyny’ or ‘androgynous’, but for others, it’s a form of liberation.

“When I shaved my head, I became a conquest for boys. Boys who thought I was gay but wanted to ‘make’ me straight or see if I was straight. There was a test and challenge introduced…" said Marisa Desimone, featured muse.

On March 30, Spotify held its first live #SpotifySessions in Toronto with alternative singer-songwriter, Scott Helman.

“I’m actually really excited — I’ve never done something like this,” expressed the 20-year-old.

Helman released his debut EP, “Augusta” in October 2014, and since then his hit single, “Bungalow,” has gone gold in Canada. Recently, he has been nominated for two 2016 JUNO Awards including: ‘Pop Album of the Year’ and ‘Breakthrough Artist of the Year.’

Canadian retailer Livestock has transformed its Spadina location in Toronto into a full-fledged Air Max factory pop-up in celebration of Nike Air Max Day — an annual ‘sneakerhead’ holiday that was first introduced by Nike in 2014. This day was created in celebration of the iconic Air Max silhouettes and its vast history. Air Max Day declares the 26th of March every year with special releases commemorating the day.

This year, Nike Toronto created podiums and displays at Livestock, that house items which inspire the 2016 partners: Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker. TAVA aka Antoine Tavaglione is a Canadian Pop artist, muralist and illustrator whose work also took part in the Air Max Day installation.

I've recently partnered with Seneca College as part of their #BecauseItMatters campaign. The emotionally-positioned campaign is different from the benefit-driven way other postsecondary institutions advertise. It’s an opportunity for Seneca to highlight what it knows about what students are looking for: Certainty about the future. Students want to feel prepared through a combination of education, training and experience. They want to feel ready for anything the world throws at them.

Through sharing my stories on what matters to me, I'm in the position in hopes to be relatable, helpful motivating and inspiring.
