Soughton Hall Wedding Photography: Just love working at new venues and this did not disappoint! Soughton Hall in North Wales is just stunning, not only for your wedding reception but also for photography, with it providing the opportunities for photography that can be both ‘big & bold’ at one end and ‘close & intimate’ at the other. Just a perfect wedding in every way – so much fun for me & Rho it has to be said! – thank you both for being just the best and many, many congrats guys!

Inn on the Lake Wedding Photography – another very beautiful Lakeland wedding with some of that Lakeland weather thrown in too! The weather might have been a tad inclement but hey, it certainly didn’t stop the hardy Northern folk (other regions were represented too, I better say!) from having a perfect wedding day. In fact, the rain was dodged enough so that Mark & Mads were able to have an outdoor ceremony which was achievable, in no small part, due to the weather reading skills of the hotel’s George along with the Cumbrian registrar! The Inn on the Lake, in Glenridding provided the perfect setting with Ullswater Lake and surrounding mountains providing just the most amazing backdrops. Mark & Mads you were truly just the best, as we dodged the rain and because of your resilience and humour, were still able to get those shots. Hope you, your family & friends, all love my small selection here and I thank you both for choosing me (& Rho!) to be part of your brilliant wedding day.

Wellbeing Farm Wedding Photography, Bolton – well, we all talk about weddings with a difference … What a great Northern wedding this was, just outside Bolton (nippy day but hey we’re Northern folk!) at the Wellbeing Farm totally different and offering some unique photo opportunities. Set in the stunning Lancashire countryside some great backdrops were to be had but the highlight had to be suddenly being confronted with a couple of donkeys and llamas to bring into the pictures. Total laugh and David and Nia were just the best of sports and were just such naturals – especially you Nia! Had to also put in the B&W pic, that we took later in the day (the one where Nia’s giving me ‘the look’) and I’m not telling you why or you’d never book me – guys, you’re sworn to secrecy!!! (First time I’ve ever done it though and that’s got you wondering!) David & Nia you were fantastic and just the best as was the whole of your day and I thank you for introducing me to this venue. Many, many thanks to Celia & Rachel at the Wellbeing Farm too for making myself and Rho so welcome and looking after us.

Manchester University Wedding Photography – well, this was truly a wedding with a difference and set in the magnificent Victorian buildings at Manchester University. Alumni, Michael & Jenny …… always knew that it had to be the university for their wedding and what a hidden gem it really is for weddings. Just loved everything about this wedding, from the imposing Victorian architecture – both in and out – to the city setting which provided me with some amazing, yet often challenging, backdrops. ‘Challenges’ for me came by way of the sheer size of the backdrops to be photographed along with natural lighting indoors which always kept me on my toes! Just loved the table decorations; so original and just perfect for the library setting of wedding breakfast. Thank you so much Michael & Jenny for giving me the opportunity to photograph at this totally unique venue and hope you love my small selection here from your day …

Browsholme Hall, Clitheroe Wedding Photography: My first time at Browsholme Hall and what an absolutely stunning venue it is to be married at and just packed with photographic potential. Matt & Helen’s day was such a laid back affair with even their springer, Eli totally chilled! Helen, bridesmaids, Mother & Father got ready in the small cottage, on the grounds of the hall, and the natural light within was just perfect to capture some of those special moments – just love the shots of Helen’s father, David seeing his daughter in her dress for the first time … Thank you Matt & Helen for providing me with the opportunity to capture your day – you were both just fantastic – and hope you like my small selection of your day here.

Wedding & Engagement Photography – Lytham St. Annes: the best shoots, whether it’s wedding or engagement, is when it’s all kept natural, with the photographer there to capture the moments. Jon & Ella were just such the perfect example to this – “Just pretend I’m not here!” I said for their Xmas engagement shoot and they did and I hope you agree from my small selection here, some stunning shots were to be had. It’s not always about the subject looking into a camera lens, it’s more I think about a photographer being able to capture those moments that a couple share together when they forget about the camera being there. Thank you to you both.

Wedding Photography at Hoghton Tower, Preston: the stunning wedding of Steven & Sophia’s it has to be said had more than a smattering of history attached to it. To start with, the service …… was held at the beautiful Parish Church of St. Mary in Penwortham, which dates back to the c14 and then it was on to the magnificent Hoghton Tower nr. Preston which actually dates back to the c12. Hoghton Tower is especially famous for when King James I stayed and knighted a loin of beef (1617) and also, Shakespeare stopped over too (1580). (Look at me, not only creative but educational too!) Furthermore and to add to the history theme, my first image of Sophia’s bouquet is on a chair that her Mum used to use as a child and whilst we’re at it, Steven is a history teacher too! I had to include a photograph of the magnificent banquet hall and also one of the wedding cake with the actual sword that was used by King James I and which Steven & Sophia used to cut the cake. Anyway, less of the history and do hope that you all like my small selection of images here of a wonderful couple on their simply glorious day. Thank you to you both for giving me the opportunity to capture your day at this incredible venue.

Wedding photography ay Briery Wood Hotel, Windermere - another beautiful wedding in the Lake District, namely at the Briery Wood Country House Hotel in Windermere, with Steve & Fiona. A first time for me at Briery Wood and what a wonderful venue to photograph at with Fiona’s style of dress just lending itself perfectly for the ground’s woodlands. Steve & Fiona you were just so natural in front of the camera and such great fun too and hope you enjoyed as much as me – thinking you did! Probably just about the most chilled-out wedding I’ve ever attended … Many congrats guys and thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your special day.

Wedding photography in Blackpool - although I’m based just down the road, it’s not often that I get to do a Blackpool wedding so thank you Darryl & Stacey for giving me the opportunity on a very (very!) breezy day. Also, it was the first time … that I’ve been at a wedding with doves (Little Dovetails ) and thought you might like the picture here of daughter, Kacy releasing one. Normally, I would not go with people photo-bombing one of my pictures but just love this one outside their church, St. John’s – just all seemed to work! The prom at Blackpool offers some stunning photography opportunities, with the Blackpool landscape adding a different & dramatic slant to the shots. Leaving some of the photography until later in the day meant that often we had some lovely long shadows complimenting the tramlines, prom seating etc – in fact, when I looked around there seemed to be ‘lines’ all around us adding to the composition.
