This is as good an analysis of Steam's performance as I've seen.  Nice work Ars and Kyle.
We sampled public data to estimate sales and gameplay info for every Steam game.

The second part of that reportage is even more interesting.

I want the big one. I'll pwn my daughter with it. She can have one of the pistols. ;)
With a new line of wicked toy guns, Mattel is brandishing arms to protect good old-fashioned toys in the age of apps.

Having owned Porches before, I feel this guy's pain. Jesus, they just need to swap his car. Lemon laws exist for a reason.

Joe Rogan has some infamous stories he's told on his podcast of his Porsche breaking down constantly until he got rid of the thing. It's an amazing car, if you only want to drive in a straight line.

I bought Divinity: Dragon Commander last night on Steam (on sale this weekend). It's really quite well done. It reminds me of 3DO's Uprising or Activision's Battlezone/Battlezone II (which I loved all of). If you like RTS with FPS options, try it out.
