I had the good fortune of being in attendance for Joel Kallman's APEX keynote at the ODTUG Kscope15 conference this year.  Joel's talk was titled "APEX Episode 5: A New Frontier", but could have just as easily been titled "Br...

Working on a fancy timepicker plug-in for Oracle APEX. I just love the intuitiveness of this component. Still need to tackle some issues on mobile devices. Should be solved soon.

Hey Christian,

Hicham

HTML5 is still evolving and, naturally, APEX cannot yet support all the new functionality declaratively. This doesn’t mean you cannot use new advanced HTML5 features and API’s in your application. In my session, I will explain and demonstrate 5 HTML5 functionalities that can add valuable functionality to your APEX application and how to (easily) integrate them in APEX.
In this session I will explain and demonstrate 5 HTML5 elements and API’s and how to integrate those in an Oracle Application Express application. The selected features are not declaratively supported by Application Express (yet) but can add functionality that improves functionality and user experience.

Hi Scott,

Did you know that you can connect your Android smartphone or tablet to your Chrome browser on your computer using the ADB Plugin? Using this, you are able to use the Chrome Developer Tools inspecting a webpage presented on your Android Chrome Browser. Very easy for debugging mobile (APEX) web applications.

Cheers,
Christian

Bootstrap 3 has a ton of features and helpers to speed up front-end development. Sometimes you need something and you end up writing your own custom CSS and JavaScript without even realizing that Bootstrap could have done it for you....

So you want to become a web developer? Well then it’s time to put down that “Learn Super Duper Language v8.3 in 24 hours” book. Instead, make it a habit to ask yourself these 10 questions every day.
