I've been shooting MF for a while, but I recently purchased my first TLR. It's such a joy to shoot!

I can see why. All you really need is one lens, anyway. Portra 400 is a great film, as well.

A few weeks ago I traveled up to the Lick Observatory in San Jose, CA. I decided to get some long exposures on my Hasselblad (15 minutes to be exact).

I think they turned out great! I hope you like them too.

Too bad the observatory couldn't stand still. Hahaha. I think it looks pretty neat, but someone not familiar with long exposures might mistake the blur as camera shake. The swirl of the stars reminds me of a Petzval lens.

Took my Hasselblad 500 and some Ilford to the beach! I really liked how these turned out. There's a super popular Taco Bell on this beach, with a walk-up window for those who are all wet and sandy.

I love the fine grain, as well as the super contrast. It makes for great stuff!

New photos up! Go check the blog to read about my new gear, and see a few of the shots taken with it. #photographer #blog
It's hard to think that anyone would want to work backwards (start with Medium Format Hasselblad, then buy a 35mm Nikon) but for the price and convenience, I thought it might be worth a try. Cue the 1977 Nikon EL2. First, I had to admit that it's busted ass body makes it feel better in my hands. There's something about older used photo gear that has character and life. I had to get a decent strap, so I went for a decent CANPIS. (here's...

I have a whole new respect for Black & White film. #Ilford, you have my heart.
I'm a total noob in regards to film and processing, but man, I know good shots when I see them. I've never been happier with my shots, then the ones below. Nothing more to say, I'll let the images speak for themselves. - Murphy

For a $40 dollar lens, this 135mm f/2.8 paired with my Nikon F3 performed well beyond my expectations.

I paid $10 for a Pentax-M 135mm 3.5, fungus all around the outer lens element, and it takes the finest portraits of any lens I own.

I rarely look up when I shoot unless it's night time (see my long exposures) but I finally did and caught this plane.

It captures a time when Monterey California was on fire, and nobody was outside due to the large amounts of lingering smoke.

Looking at this photo reminds me that life goes on. While the people on the ground worry about their homes, the people in the air worry about not spilling their drinks, or the person next to them using their arm rest.

Anyway, I hope this photo makes you think about the simple things in life, like I it does for me.

Friendly feedback about app behavior:

When opening and closing the app on my Nexus 6P, it twists in and out of landscape. It looks like the app has only the landscape permission and not portrait? Not critical, just visually bothersome and laggy. Compared to other apps that don't have this permission, they open and close faster. ¯\(ツ)

Secondly, since my screen is so large, I find it difficult to hit the power button at the top right to escape the app. I miss having the standard Android home buttons to navigate around. Would it be possible to provide an option to turn that on/off as a user preference? It would definitely help my experience.

Thanks for making a great app!

Thanks for your feedback!

Historically most camera apps on Google Play have been written as landscape only with auto-rotating controls to maximize compatibility. It will be a huge amount of reworking to change this.

You can disable immersive mode in settings.

Awesome pictures it's hard to believe a few years ago you needed film for every camera and now almost all of them are digital I don't even know who sells film any more. Hopefully one day everything that's possible with film can be done with digital cameras too.
I take pictures on film, and it's awesome
Recently, I set up a stall at a women's golfing convention with a banner stating "Punch me in the head for one dollar." I made eight hundred and thirty dollars that day. Tax free. With the money raised, I intend to buy a bigger stall for next year's convention.
