For those who wonder what I'm on about: These two museums were AFAIK never marketed as "Temporary Guggenheim" or "Pop-up museum, only this week, hurry up and go there before we close it down on Monday!" Never alluded to as transient in any way, until after they turned out to be. And, hey, twelve years -- or was it fifteen? Something like that, anyway, in the case of Berlin -- isn't really all that fleeting. Kind of hard to even make out you intended it as a pop-up thingy, given that time scale...

So why try to make it out as such afterwards, is my point. A: To make it seem as if a(n intended-as-)permanent Guggenheim museum is something totally different than these (post-hoc-declared) "temporary" ones, and so of course could never go bust.

Guess which Nordic capital city they're currently trying to get to finance a new building for them, grant them land and so on...?
