In case you're a bit lost with migrating your Android apps to Marshmallow, I suggest these quite interesting readings:

Android Design Patterns for permissions: https://goo.gl/wep25G

Android's new permissions system: https://goo.gl/ZcE5hY

New Permissions model on a "Nice" way: https://goo.gl/bCHPx1

A bit boring but useful - https://goo.gl/LK95n4

We've just released Android Studio 1.4 release candidate 1 to the canary channel (and beta 4 to the beta channel).

There are a variety of fixes in this build; note in particular additional fixes, particularly for Linux, related to high-density displays; see
http://tools.android.com/tech-docs/high-density-display-with-android-studio

More details about the other bug fixed are in the release notes below; please let us know of any remaining release blockers as soon as possible...

### English version ###

I'm really proud to announce my first Android application about West Coast Swing, a partner dance.
It's a French-speaking application because it is only dedicated to people who are looking lessons, events or dancing evenings in the south of France, below an imaginary line that across France, between Lyon and Bordeaux.
If you are located somewhere else, please, wait a further release!

Users can also bookmark any event they want to have a quick access to it the next time they use the application.
I intend to make it better, add new features and cover a wider area but for now, this is the first release so please, be patient :)

Pour les personnes intéressées par le West Coast Swing, je vais publier une application dédiée à cette danse (cours, stages, événements...). Elle couvrira dans un premier temps la moitié sud de la France.

Android Support Library 22.2.1 available now
This release is focused on product quality and stability, with a healthy dose of bugs and edge cases now fixed, particularly for users of the Android Design Library (http://goo.gl/ZgmA99) introduced in version 22.2.0.

You’ll also find a number of API improvements as well:
- FloatingActionButton’s new show() and hide() methods to allow triggering the appropriate animations programmatically
- Snackbar gains LENGTH_INDEFINITE for continuing to show a Snackbar until it is dismissed or another Snackbar is shown
- TabLayout now allows you to retrieve the currently selected tab via getSelectedTabPosition()
- NotificationCompat.MediaStyle now uses a fully fluent API, allowing chaining methods together
- RecyclerView’s SortedList now has convenience methods to batch insert items

Please continue to file any Support Library bugs at https://goo.gl/QHIwpH

I just watched the great talk by Huyen Tue Dao about Camera 2 API. Things are now a bit tricky but the developers access more features now and this completely rewritten API offers better performances even if it's expose you more to traps and mistakes.
You are encouraged to have a look at the following Google examples in case you'd like to create a camera application or use some Camera 2 features (+ documentation):
- https://github.com/googlesamples/android-Camera2Raw
- https://github.com/googlesamples/android-Camera2Video

By the way, many thanks Huyen for the talk!

Iterator vs for loop? Which one is better? Got the answer now :)
Community question: Are iterators faster than indexes?

The Android performance Patterns G+ community asked the above question, and +Colt McAnlis set out to find the answer. The results might shock you … or not… if you know a thing or two about performance.
