One pet peeve I have with my new tablet (the Nexus 7 I got last Tuesday) is that a number of games I play are either scaled up or everything is TINY and really hard to read (in my experience, only Angry Birds does this).

So please, game developers, update your game assets!!!!

Any way I can avoid seeing other people's +1's? I REALLY don't want G+ becoming like a certain other social network I know...

Did a major overhaul and simplification of my desktop. No more global menu. No more Docky.

I feel that the global menu is out of place in anything other than Unity. I do like having a dock, though, so I am now using DockBarX (the XFCE panel plugin).

Here is a screenshot with a Thunar window open.

GTK: Adwaita-Manjaro-light
Icons: Faenza-Dark
DockBarX: Mouse-6 with some color tweaks
Background: archlinux-poolclouds.jpg (from archlinux-wallpaper package)

I must say, though, this look is a lot cleaner (and better).

Any idea why Auto Rotate isn't working? It seems that it stopped working after I updated to M10.

I have a Nexus 7 (2013 model) running CM 11 M10 with the ElementalX kernel (CM version).

Thanks for the help everyone, it seems that the update to M11 fixed it.

What's a good tiling window manager? I've been using XFCE for a while, but would like something simpler. Haven't had a lot of time, so if you could tell me which one you like and why, that'd be great.

+Christian Arnold You may, but just with a major Awesome update and it's not usually any major changes, but i3 is more stable in this area.

In case any of you were wondering, the gconf key to change is ShowDockyItem under /apps/docky-2/Docky/Items/DockyItem

Story
Tagline
I'm a computer geek with a few tricks up my sleeve.
Introduction
Hey guys, welcome to the profile of just another random guy.

I'm a Linux user, and I know my way around. I'm the proud owner of a 4-year-old Optimus laptop (yes, I'm one of the few who actually bought one of those stupid things back when they had no Linux support). I used to be a distro hopper, but I've settled down with Xubuntu. I've answered my fair share of questions on Ask Ubuntu.

I've written a few bash scripts for personal use, and I'm collaborating with friends on a couple of projects, notably a clone of 2048 and a livestream overlay. Nothing groundbreaking or anything.

I play the piano (quite well if I do say so myself) and the guitar as well. I'm not what you'd call a rock star, but I get the job done. I have a SoundCloud account with absolutely nothing on it - I haven't written anything worth recording.

Political and religious views can be discussed elsewhere.
