Even the big sellers mix it up sometimes... this "Kenwood mobile" sure looks like a Yaesu HT (VX8) to me. :-)

If you have a Shortwave Radio, you can listen in to the Ham Radio communcations net which is forming to help pass emergency messages into and out of Nepal.  Frequencies are 14.205 MHz for the actual Emergency Messages (currently very light traffic), and 14.215 MHz for Initial check-in by Hams with offers of help (currently active).  More info at the link below, including a link to listen in online.

These frequencies are for emergency traffic only

14.205 MHz : Emergency Messages

Only call on this frequency if you have information for Nepal or require information from Nepal.

14.215 MHz :  Initial check in frequency with offers of help

Any other traffic is not allowed, please help net controllers keeping the frequency clear.

Please maintain QRV NO BK, NO TUNNING, NO QRM ONLY EMERGENCY TRAFFIC. KEEP CLEAR THE FREQUENCY
