Colette Confusion: The Pure and the Impure
I have been trying to read Colette’s The Pure and the Impure . By try, I mean stare at the
same page for about 10 minutes thinking, “Huh?” I should have started with something easier than this book. I really want to
like Colette.  I believe French sophist...

Lazy Sunday Thoughts: All You Mothers
Maybe I’m the only person who does this, but I read all Mother’s Day greetings in Samuel L Jackson’s voice. It makes the word mother a little more bad ass. My Mother’s Day plans include doing as little as possible, until I have my own mother over for supp...

Early Bird Gets the Readathon
Good Morning! Time for a Readathon . I'm trying to get the jump on the Readathon by starting early. I won't be able to do the whole 24 hours. Ugh, obligations. I don't want to miss out altogether though, so I'm doing what I can. 1) What fine part of the wor...

Lazy Sunday Thoughts: Blogging Thoughts
It’s June tomorrow! Finally, the weather has turned, it’s even a bit warmer
than usual. Yay! I thought it would be August before the snow would melt. I can
barely remember the 8000 feet of snow I shovelled just a couple of months ago.

Mini-Challenges Post: Readathon Style!
This is my entry for A Literary Odyssey's Readathon Mini-Challenge . So, for this challenge, you need to create a post highlighting your favorite "Classic Words of Wisdom" and then explain their meaning to you. Even though I think D.H. Lawrence had Issues, ...
Even though I think D.H. Lawrence had Issues, I do like this quote. Since this quote comes from Lady Chatterley's Lover, I'm going to assume it's rationalizing infidelity. I don't like it for that reason, I like it on its own. As I get older, I believe in the sentiment.

Hey all! I was wondering if any of you try to get graphic novels from Netgalley. I've downloaded a couple but I'm having a hard time with the content crashing my computer. I use Adobe Reader. I don't know if I should try moving them to my Kobo.

Anyone have any ideas or tricks for reading these digital arcs?

+Sorcha Ogle I hate it, too!  Sometimes I have just not downloaded and reviewed a book simply because I don't want to read it on my laptop.  Plus, the size is never right and you have to adjust it and every time you close it out it reopens to the beginning and does not remember your place.  Hmm...yep, I don't like it. lol
