A teaser shot of my latest work for Curio Magazine. Always a pleasure shooting B&W!
A teaser for some of my fresh-off-the-press work for Curio Magazine, a publication that Design For Tomorrow curates, edits, and designs for the Timeline Group. It's always a pleasure shooting black and white, and this was a particularly interesting experience. I've posted a couple of side ...

Going on a vacation and not bringing a camera along with you can be quite refreshing, and at the same time cause great anxiety at certain moments when you wish you had brought one.

I caved and borrowed my friend Carlos' cam, and got a shot of this lady making rice sheets, ala lumpia wrappers. If there's one country that loves its rice just as much as we do (or even more), it's Vietnam.

Memoirs of my all too short stay in Kalinga. Definitely going back very soon.
It was the first time in my life that I had seen fireflies on my ceiling. When you live in an overcrowded and extremely polluted city, you grow accustomed to reading about certain things in nature, ye...

Back in Manila for an afternoon before flying out early tomorrow for Surigao.
I'm currently typing this from the proverbial eye of the storm of the consecutive provincial shoots I'm having. I have just gotten back in Manila from Samar, a province on the eastern coast of...

A (much) cheaper version of satellite internet. Hopefully projects like this reach the rural areas of the Philippines, so better information will be available to all. Just think of how much better our country will be when those in the dark are enlightened.

Bravo, Google.

The Internet is one of the most transformative technologies of our lifetimes. But for 2 out of every 3 people on earth, a fast, affordable Internet connection is still out of reach. And this is far from being a solved problem...

It's amazing how one visit can profoundly touch a life, even more so when it's your visit. Revisiting your subjects helps you see the effects of such, as well as forge new bonds. Beautiful read.

Some shots and thoughts from the Samar distribution for One Million Lights
Half-seated and half-crouched I rode, inside a van making the four-hour journey to Borongan, Samar; a city on the eastern coast of the Philippines. We were about to drive onto the San Juanico Bridge, ...

I excitedly hopped around the sturdy workboat as it steadily made its way out of the cove just off Pangasinan towards the collection of fish cages about twenty minutes from the coast. Anton, my guide ...

Good selection of dining areas, good location, good design. It has the airy spacious feel of Greenbelt mixed with an academic vibe.

Clean and well-designed working area with decent internet speed. It's a bit pricey, but worth it in my opinion.

I loved their selection of products. Downside was that they didn't have a showroom, or comprehensive product catalogs - all that was available were the manufacturer brochures.

Good selection of restaurants. There could be more, but overall you'll get a good range. The place feels homey and simple enough that you won't get lost.
