Ducking?
I have succumbed to peer pressure (from the world of politics) and passed it on via the #IceBucketChallenge to friends (at least they were friends). Bonus points for identifying the verse form used. :) Ducking? This challenge I received from Robert Brown: T...

The New Religion

I am genuinely worried
Lots of my poetry and arty chums are passionately pro-independence. The basic concepts of freedom and change are noble, attractive, seductive, and it can be tempting to see ourselves as following directly from Robert Burns in his more idealistic moments, as...

Introduction

Chris is a freelance writer, actor, entertainer and model, as well as being a student at the University of Strathclyde (chemistry with drug discovery). His poetry pamphlet Greetings from Glasgow was published in July 2014 by Red Squirrel Press. He is a political campaigner and the Scottish Liberal Democrat PPC for Glasgow Central.

In the past, Chris has been a trainee solicitor and worked in legal administration, academic administration, local government, theatre, historic buildings and local radio.

In 2002, Chris won The Weakest Link and was invited back as a "memorable man" the following year, having made Anne Robinson stifle a laugh with his limericks. Other television shows on which Chris has appeared include University Challenge (1994-5), Countdown (2003), A Question of Genius (2009) and Are You An Egghead? (2009).

Chris likes to keep fit by running, playing badminton, going to the gym and walking up mountains - and is open to other offers for exhausting himself.

A single man (at the time of writing), Chris lives in a tenement flat in Ibrox. He has lived in Glasgow since 2003 and in Scotland since 1993.
