This is making me so sad - I always thought that @apple would be standing up for the user's privacy - but even @apple must bend to sheer power of the Chinese government

This Shinkansen you hardly ever see
Spotting the Doctor Yellow shinkansen urban legend

Doctor Yellow is the nickname of a seven cars shinkansen train which runs several times a month to diagnose the shinkansen tracks. Since the Japan Railways companies aren’t publishing the timetable of this test train, an urban legend was born among the railway fans, saying that spotting the Doctor Yellow shinkansen brings happiness and is a good fortune omen…

And, I may add that since the train usually passes very fast, it is quite hard to take a picture of it, too. I spotted Doctor Yellow several times, but I managed to take a good photo only once, in Kyoto…

Dear Followers,

If you want to organize your contacts better and merge lots of duplicates in your contacts list easily then this will be interesting for you.

Google contacts just upgraded to a new version and it got much better in finding duplicates in your address book. To give it a try, just copy and paste that link into your browser: https://contacts.google.com/preview

I always merged my duplicates before already, but now with the new tool it still found 50+ duplicates in my contacts...so it's really worth running it, plus it looks better. :-)

Attention, it will ask you to merge all your duplicates at once and I DON'T recommend to do so without reviewing them. One of mine was a false negative, but it was a "John Smith" like.

Happy Wednesday!

Cheers,
Andy

P.S.: Thanks #GoogleContactsTeam

If anybody is using Adobe Digital Editions to read EPUB Files (ebooks) on Windows you really should start looking for an alternative. Apparently it sends the name of the book, the page you are currently reading etc all to Adobe UNENCRYPTED.

Once again legitimate customers are being screwed over. If you had pirated the book (not that I endorse any piracy)  you wouldn't need to use Digital Editions  in the first place since they all come without any DRM..

p.s. I buy my  ebooks from O'Reilly at  http://shop.oreilly.com/  . Their files don't have any DRM.
