Amazing MD crab cakes. Gourmet called them the best in Maryland. As a displaced Marylander I highly recommend them. Shipping is less than 10 bucks if you live between Central Virginia and NYC.

Look at what the fine fine developers of Google Maps have concocted. Addicting and informative, sounds like a winning combo for procrastination.

I've said many times before but I'll say it again. There aren't many things I like to eat over and over again but this simple salad/appetizer/main is one of them. It is simply a poached egg, grilled asparagus, prosciutto di parma, and homemade croutons tossed in good olive oil with roasted garlic and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. A bit of a hodgepodge but it is rustic and hearty. I could devour this several times a week without even thinking about it.

I haven't tried it all yet but the brisket and ribs from Snow's are insane. Texas Monthly picked a winner for sure.

What a waffle covered in bananas carmel and vanilla ice cream may or may not look like.

Creating Innovators: Bing Nursery School.

In this groundbreaking book, education expert Tony Wagner provides a powerful rationale for developing an innovation-driven economy. He identifies a pattern in the lives of young innovators — a childhood of creative play leads to deep-seated interests, which in adolescence and adulthood blossom into a deeper purpose for career and life goals. Play, passion, and purpose: these are the forces that drive young innovators.

More than a book about innovation, Creating Innovators pioneers an entirely new reading experience. Noted filmmaker Bob Compton, who teamed up with Tony to make the movie "The Finland Phenomenon," has produced more than 60 original videos that expand on key ideas and passages in the book through interviews with young innovators, their parents, teachers and mentors.

Considering I watch all of 9 minutes of soccer a year I sure picked the right 9 minutes this time. Wow.
